    Endgame setup- BW s257sxe

Drove the car out to work this morning 26mi with no issues. On my way home it pretty much stalled at every damn traffic light. I can keep it running if I keep giving it throttle pressure in neutral, obviously. No relevant CEL's set or pending that I see. LTFT is in check while cruising...

    Endgame setup- BW s257sxe

Got a tune adjustment back and drove the car just now. LTFT is back in check. It's definitely idling better and didn't stall on me once. It did come close though a few times. Dipping to 500rpm and holding real low for a few seconds. We're getting somewhere at least.

Going to pull logs on Fri, my day off. For now, the prius needs brakes

    Endgame setup- BW s257sxe

The ST manifold has a vacuum line that threads into a check valve running to the 2nd OCC shown in routing 2. Another check valve to the 1st OCC. Both my cans are VTA with check valves as well. It also has a vacuum dist block that I have plumbed to another dist block. Come to think of it, the car...

Back then, I asked if a tune adjustment was necessary for swapping throttle bodies. Tuna said no. Sent from tapioca

Tuner wants a set of logs. I'll mention returning back to the stock TB Sent from tapioca

    Endgame setup- BW s257sxe

I have 2 still. Why? I do not know. The tune was completed with a CS throttle body though. So I wonder if going back to stock has something to do with the stalling. Sent from tapioca

    Endgame setup- BW s257sxe

I find it odd it may be a throttle body symptom as I was having surging idle issues with several CS throttle bodies before switching back to the stock TB.

    Endgame setup- BW s257sxe

More power more problems. Recently i have been chasing an intermittent engine stalling issue. It happens under these specific conditions: Engine at operating temp, brake/clutch pedal pushed in coming to a red light or stop and go traffic. Once clutch pedal is pushed down the rpms will...

Gen 2 Fuel sender corrosion from ethanol

Don't want to jinx myself, but the Yaris sensor is still holding up! @drew10101010 how did you even know about this sensor as a possibility?

Gen 2 Fuel sender corrosion from ethanol

Yaris sensor went right in. Depinned the OEM connector and swapped them over easily. I'll have to fill up to full and see how accurate it reports. Update coming soon

Effects of high eth content on fuel level sensor

Well the new OEM sensor died in a short few days. Looks like my Epoxy technique did not work. I suspect the OEM sensor just isn't cut out for ethanol/moisture. The MKZ sensor i pulled out would have kept on just fine. Drew101010 suggested a comparable sensor for a yaris that will arrive today.

Gen 2 Fuel sender corrosion from ethanol

I went ahead and ordered that yaris sensor, since its so damn cheap. It would be awesome if the sensor required no modification, other than depinning and swapping connectors. Crossing my fingers with your test results.

How's that level sensor holding up? I just had another OEM sensor fail, in less than a week. Using the solder trick and applying epoxy. What sensor is that again?

Effects of high eth content on fuel level sensor

Pulled out the level sensor from the basket. You can see the solder was holding up well. Remember, this technique made the sensor last more than 6 months. Instead of a couple weeks! So I'm really curious about the 2216 epoxy providing that much more protection. Sent from tapioca

Effects of high eth content on fuel level sensor

Picked up another oem level sensor and performed the same process with soldering wires directly to board. I overpot the shit out of it with 3M 2216 epoxy. Supposedly this stuff should hold up to ethanol/jet fuel says a coworker of mine. Sent from tapioca

Found some tantalizing information on this Buick forum. Looks like they had success with Marine tex epoxy over others tested. But only on 93oct. It may or may not work with e85 https://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/fuel-resistant-epoxy-immersion-test-very-interesting-results.307765/ Sent...
