Necessary to install new coils and injectors?

Thanks Raider. I really dont want to spend $700 on a AccessPort. Can I get away with a cheaper version of VersaTune? I dont want that Access port in my car anyway and I have OBDII scan software already for diagnosis.

who do you guys recommend for tuning a Corksport turbo? Do they not have an in-house tuner?

Necessary to install new coils and injectors?

Thanks for the heads up on Graveyard. The name says it all. I think with 168k miles and 17 years on the original injectors I'm better off spending $500 to get new ones. Time is money and the crush washers arent cheap either.

Necessary to install new coils and injectors?

oh cool. Thanks they are cleaning and testing but not rebuilding the moving parts and electronics. Might opt for new units from Mazdaswag with Corksport seals.

Necessary to install new coils and injectors?

Who tests and rebuilds our injectors? Cheaper than just getting new injectors I assume. $140 each new.

Necessary to install new coils and injectors?

I dont really want to spend $700 on an Access Port. The are selling Versatune options for much less that are just for installing tunes. I assume Corksport has an in-house tuner?

Anyone try Bilstein struts with Swift Springs?

Thanks. Ive barely had a chance to drive the car but 3 miles to listen for anything out of the ordinary and recheck torque specs. If Bilstein tells you to reuse the OEM stuff youd think it would be appropriate for the struts and spring they are selling. (ha!) IT didnt come with any bumps stops...

Anyone try Bilstein struts with Swift Springs?

trimming makes sense but the problem is the dust boot sits in a specific section of the bump stop so if you trim above that spot the boot wont stay on the bump stop.

rear OEM bump stop with the rear Bilstein Prokit strut?

Its a tiny little nub with 2 fats. Its very hard to hold while tightening because its so small. A socket will not go on it. A vice was likely the best option but I didnt think of that at the time. I just used the plumbers wrench.

Necessary to install new coils and injectors?

My 2007 has 165k miles on the original injectors and ignition coils. Still gets same gas mileage as when new. My 2nd OEM turbo is leaking like a sieve and I want to go to a Corksport CST4. I know I need an HPFP internals upgrade but do I need new coils and injectors (and even LPFP) for sure...

rear OEM bump stop with the rear Bilstein Prokit strut?

I didnt understand how the hell they intend for you to hold on to the rear center section as you tighten the strut to the aluminum top hat/mount. Or maybe you dont need to keep it from spinning? Simple adjustable wrench was best I could figure and I have a lot of automotive tools.

rear OEM bump stop with the rear Bilstein Prokit strut?

I realized that yes, unlike the front struts which have an internal bump stop and a piston much larger/thicker than the OEM struts (making reuse of the OEM bump stops impossible), the rear struts do allow you to use the OWM bump stop and cover. The instructions are a joke. 12 pages of nothing...

rear OEM bump stop with the rear Bilstein Prokit strut?

Do I use the rear OEM bump stop with the rear Bilstein b12 Prokit struts? The instructions are barebones. I know the front Bilstein struts have internals bump stops. Not sure about the rear.

Anyone try Bilstein struts with Swift Springs?

ok so 250 lb/in = 4.5 kg/mm front and rear. Interesting. My KW V3s have vastly different spring rates front (400) to rear (2xx?) and Prokit does also have lower rates in the rear also. Ill try and the B12 Prokit first and see how I like it as this is a matched set of Bilstein and Eibach.

Anyone try Bilstein struts with Swift Springs?

ya...B8 Performance Plus dampers with Swifts. Not sure which spec Swifts. Ive seen these SWIFT springs carried by bunch of folks. Do you know the spring rates on the Spec R Springs? The B12 Prokit from Bilstein comes with Eibach Sport spings which are round 200lbs in front and 180 in rear or...
