  1. Building for the road course...again

I am a bit surprised you don't have the ride height adjust ability. It does kinda make sense thought. Without roll center correction, most stock vehicles start doing funky thinks when you drop them more than an inch or 2.
  2. Building for the road course...again

Have you done anything to measure out dynamic camber curve or toe changes to help optimize what ride height works best?
  3. Building for the road course...again

The average driver won't notice the benefits from all the work you are putting into setting this up. But for someone like your self who's running the car at limit all the time. You'll notice it. Most of your time gained wont come from the increase in grip. It'll come from the predictability...
  4. "Princess" A Mazda 323 like no other.

Pffffttt who needs Cam lock tools.. Some old school Toda adjustable cam gear and Gates racing Blue timing belt. Quick little did you know for those of you who've played with Miata BP's and 1.6Ls.... The timing belt tensioner spring is only used for setting belt tension. Once you've locked down...
  5. New ACT clutch, clutch chatter normal?

It's not chatter. It's called Gear clatter. basically without the factory dual mass flywheel the engine speeds up and slows down this causes the gears to rock back and forth in the transmission causing them to make noise. It's normal anytime you remove the factory dual mass flywheel on almost...
  6. Different MAF (g/s) readings on different intakes, despite making same power.

Here's the thing.... You aren't actually "Calibrating" the MAF curve.. In order to do that properly you'd put it on a flow bench and measure the airflow and voltages with the intake assembled. From there you'd change things with in the ECUs internal math to get your AFR's in line.. What you're...
  7. "Princess" A Mazda 323 like no other.

Rather then cluttering up my Speed6 build thread I figured I would start a new one. A little history. This 1993 Mazda 323 was owned by a close friend of mine (Rob). We met off a forum similar to this one after he got in over his head trying to rebuild the transmission for the car. We hit it off...
  8. The curse of the crunchy 2nd gear

Sounds like your transmission was on it's way out and changing the fluid wasn't the fix. The only fix at this point is a rebuild or used.. But also as people have mentioned, checking shift cable adjustment and bushing wear in the cable ends.
  9. Building for the road course...again

Having support that you can actually talk to is a major thing these days. It's horrible when you've gotta go through all these prompts and still can't get someone on the phone. When I was dealing with KAAZ and K-sport back in the day, they both had great customer service.
  10. Sloza's Mazda Builds

I assume you are using Versatuner to do your logging. Do you have a log from this tune? What's your average Baro reading? Are you using a stock size MAF housing with the JBR inlet pipe? Cone filter on it? How is your Grimspeed boost controller plumed? Is it for interrupt mode, or like the stock...
  11. Sloza's Mazda Builds

I'd be interested in seeing your tune.. I've got a thread about my Speed6. I've slowly been diving more into my tuning strategy.. It sounds like you don't fully understand how all the tables work together and whats in play and when..
  12. MAZDASPEEDS MAYBE WILL GET EXCITING AGAIN !!

The new tables have been added, If these injectors are available things can be tried to make them work now.
  13. brandonf speed6 bt build

    Looks like a sexy splitter
  14. The curse of the crunchy 2nd gear

Your opinion on what you are feeling is going to be different than mine if I hopped into your car and gave you advice. Since this is a it "feels" not ok, but it's not flat out broken. No one can answer that question for you. If fluid changes that are recommended haven't fixed or improved the...
  15. P0101 + P0172, hesitation on light accel when cold – CST4 / big FMIC setup (logs inside)

What does the guy tuning the car say about the problem?? 9 time out of 10 people come asking for information on what they think is the problem, but they haven't talked to guy doing the tuning.. When it comes to logs, you need Actual EQ (Or AFR), Desired EQ (or AFR), MAF g/s, Map, Short term...
  16. Building for the road course...again

Exciting new, hopefully the event goes through.
  17. Rough idle during cold start, misfire (P0302) when warm, walnut blasting and injector cleaning sag

Another notable tip.. When you have a trouble code. Check freeze frame data. Any generic cheap OBD code reader can access it. That data will tell you at what RPM and Engine temp the code was set plus some other useful data if you know how to understand the pids you are seeing. This would tell...
  18. brandonf speed6 bt build

    Yuck.. that's painful
  19. Maxpeedingrods Turbos

Those problems are likely the cause of the failure. When you see stuff that that indicates installation problems you can't blame the part at that point.. Doesn't matter what it's reputation is.
