    Are you sitting comfortably? build

Ive been busy working on the new garage and havent touched the Speed6. But that hasnt stopped me from squirreling the parts away. Took advantage of the Christmas spirit in me and bought myself a new intake to prepare for the future. I dont technically need a 4" intake, 3.5" would have been...

    Clutch bleed simple

I believe the Speed3 guys with that setup use a vacuum bleeder. I think that is the only way. In the end I had the same problem. No good bleed but not from trying hard. Ended up being the bracket...thats my picture of a cracked bracket not just a file photo.

    Clutch bleed simple

Do not disconnect the line, just loosen it enough to allow the pressure to bleed out, then close it before air can get back in. A bleeder screw is just a way to relieve pressure and air. You dont remove bleeder screws either, just loosen and tighten them. Same process. Also, have a couple...

    Clutch bleed simple

Follow the line from the clutch master to the front frame rail. There will be a connection where the hardline goes to a flex line. If you havent replaced the flex line with a braided stainless line I suggest you consider it. With your master reservoir full to the max, have someone apply...

    Car stalls wot won’t restart

<<This>> will help you understand how the system works. In the fuel rail there is a return line with a built in relief valve, called a Pressure Relief Valve. It may be failing. Usually they fail and cause a low pressure condition, however if they opposite occurred pressure would build. If...

    The Factory serviced 2nd life.

Cool to see you have put some thought in and want to keep the car alive. I am starting a rebuild, my car is due for a refresh as well. <<Here>> is my build. There are some other great threads in the <<MS6 build section>> and a few new people have recently picked the MS6 bug after a few...

    p0300 only when under boost

The flashing CEL happens during a missfire event. It stops when the missfire event ends. That what it means. Compression test tells you how well the cylinders can compress air, Leakdown tells you how much of that compression stays in the cylinders and helps you distinguish where it might be...

    p0300 only when under boost

Have you considered getting a tune? CAI & DP. What size intake? Do you have HPFP internals? Even my CEL-less skinny Corksport Stage II CAI & TIP work better with a tune.

But damn its a fun car if you can afford to break it once in a while!!

    Is p0012 a deal breaker

As much as I love my Speed6, this is a line from my build thread, lol... Ive decided relying solely on a 16+ year old unique limited time production car requires a better contingency plan. ...and I consider my car one of the cleaner and "more reliable" Speed6s. <<Seen here>>

How To: Mazdaspeed 3/Mazdaspeed 6/CX-7 VVT The Roku Way

The oil pump isnt timed to the engine cycle. I think it was due to stopping the pump from rotating would be difficult. Im guessing.

    Weird Zombie CV Axle?

I sent mine out to be rebuilt by a company that does custom shaft work. They cut off the tulip and welded a new one on. They also heat treat the repaired tulip which is not always available at all shops.

    Building for the road course...again

Some reputable cars south of your standing for sure. Driver makes all the difference. I too would like to see the Vicky wallow its way around. It would be fun to watch, like the old Aussie racing with the Galaxies vs the Minis! A P71 Interceptor package with a 5 spd conversion actually moves...

    Weird Zombie CV Axle?

I would believe your issue to be related to that CV. You could have had your boot replaced and would have probably not suffered any ill effects. Now that time and milage has passed, you are in for a rebuild or replacement. This was my left rear inner cup. All I had was a vibration at 70mph.

Maybe you're pulling on it too hard! ;) Nice to see replacements/solutions can still be had.

    Raider's Neverending love/hate with Christine

Im assuming the body shops are not interested in putting in the time to remove the wrap as it is an arduous task. They therefore claim damage to the paint or prefer to use a mode that reduces the amount of time, but gets them to the point where they can paint the car and charge you for the work...
