    I'm not really sure what engine temp has to do with piston material. If piston slap was an issue, you'd hear it idling cold all the same as you would while driving. I drive my car maybe a minute or two tops after start up. Start car, plug in AP, light smoke, drive. I wont get out of vacuum...

    I don't recall ever hearing of anyone having to rewire the pump. That pump has been used in multiple cars, on various setups to make the amount of power you are targeting. I'm still fairly certain the pump itself is not working as designed and advertised.

    I'm planning to get a fuel pressure gauge to add onto my rail at some point after the track this weekend so I can see if my pressure acts similarly or not. I've heard that the DW 300c pumps can have issues, but I have never had issues myself or seen any in person.
