So back on the topic of my build. haha Here is the last video in the series of Ken's fuel pressure gauge.

this one is flashed back to a non-pi map and running just the stock injectors. looks like pressure drops a little bit, but no where like what it does with all 8 spraying. So seems like the pump is good, its just not able to keep up. I might just have a slightly weak one as well, with a lower regulator than @WetzMS3.

This means there is really nothing DW can do for me, so Im going to start to look at other avenues.

 
For whatever reason, thats what it looks like. pump just cant keep up.
Are you still running factory wiring to the pump
 
i would be curious if the pumps behavior wold be less pronounced with beefed up wiring. Many upgrade pumps could use the extra current. The pump may not blow the fuse but also may not be getting quite enough.

I don't understand how you're drawing that conclusion. You maintain pressure when you reduce flow demand, so you know your regulator is operating fine (though it might need a pressure tweak). When you increase flow demand (still well under what the pump *should* be capable of) you lose pressure. A "bad" pump doesn't mean that it doesn't flow at all, it can be flowing poorly. The pump is currently not keeping up with advertised flow rate. This is likely due to low power, or a pump that is bad.

Again, we KNOW that the amount of fuel you require is below the advertised pump flow rate. My math, Enki's math, Injector Dynamic's math, and multiple applications of the same pump and system all agree. Unless you're doing something ridiculous with tuning, that pump should be keeping up if supplied with proper power, and operating properly.

Any one ever done anything with the pump wiring? I can't say I've ever come across that. Not even sure where to begin with that (but I also really hate wires )

I don't recall ever hearing of anyone having to rewire the pump. That pump has been used in multiple cars, on various setups to make the amount of power you are targeting. I'm still fairly certain the pump itself is not working as designed and advertised.
 
What's the length and gauge of the wire you are using to power the pump? Gauge chart says for 15 amps (full draw for the dw300c) to be at least 12 gauge for any run under 13 feet.

No idea, never even looked at the wiring other than unplugging it to swap the baskets.

Nothing complicated about it.

Simple way: Run big wire from battery to pump, see if it holds pressure at full demand.

Scientific way:
1. Check voltage at pump idling. That's your baseline.
2. Check at full demand, it shouldn't drop "much". I'll try to dig into what drop is acceptable.
3. If you can check amperage, check that too. that's really what you're looking for, but you need the right equipment. Looks like it should be in the 11amp range at your regulator pressure.
4. Run bigger wiring/connectors/fuse.
5. Repeat 1-3, measuring pressure at full demand.

This isn't going to be something silly like teflon tape across a connection, pinched hose, downsized hose, or anything like that, riiigghhhtt?

I have a decent meter, so I will hook it up and see what my voltages and amperages are. Running the wire just sounds like it will suck and I dont look forward to it if thats where this goes.

DW pumps are so shit Kozmic Motorsports refuses to install them on customer cars and will not sell them with their 6th Port kits. I have a different drop in solution in mind for my 6th Port + 2200cc injector setup

Sooooooo..... what is it? I guess the Walbro in your sig? Hard to read with my 30-something eyes. I had to squint :D
