I think the TB likely does it's own thing on power-on/down that just requires it to have power. Not sure though. I cat test that next week when I'm back in the office.
As for the voltages, you are probably right. I've never taken a multi-meter to any of my sensors.
I believe the engine start is just for them to verify it actually worked.
As for the ECU being bricked, you can find some for as cheap as $100 (I think I looked on copart) and then it's a trip back to the dealer to reprogram. Or you can try the thing you linked for $270, but I have no idea if...
@Littleloogy when I've had 2 different cars reprogrammed, neither required the car to start until the process was done. And starting it was just the VT guys (don't ask, it was a weird situation) making sure the ECU reprogramming worked properly.
Where was this information last week when I was looking. Guess @silvapain suggested it, but didn't have a measurement at the ready. Oh well, Massive sent me a TDC pin for a measly $15+shipping, so that works.
I'd bet smile, but only because any day at the track is a good day. For real though, haven't seen them or discussed the track day with them, I just know they are alive still.
@steve@versatune - Will the ND miata support be out before this GB ends? I'd really like to pick that up when it's released, and this seems like a good opportunity.
For what it's worth, I've been running this manifold for a while on a first gen and my wire loom looks fine (no heat damage) jammed between the IM and the PS reservoir.
