    Custom Shift Cable

Yeah unfortunately Midwest Control is no longer a viable option for most. This thread isn't really as useful as it used to be. There's the Facebook option, which looks really good, but they are expensive. It may be possible to source cables from somewhere else, but I imagine that a new bracket...

    Stock Height Suggestions

What I meant by that was that I could push down on the back of the car quite easily and compress the shocks. It wasn't caused by the Bilsteins, but by the completely worthless rear springs. I did end up getting stiffer springs and adjustable perches. It simultaneously stiffened the suspension...

    MS6 Downpipe Difficulties

I checked for exhaust leaks by the turbo today and found some, so I tightened the bolts I could get to (vband was in the way of some). The car now runs good enough that I could drive it. It's still a lot more negative in the STFT's than it has been in the past, but it was able to hit AFR...

    MS6 Downpipe Difficulties

I'll probably get one ordered and plan on replacing it no matter what. The new downpipe is so much easier to get out it shouldn't be too big of a job now.

    MS6 Downpipe Difficulties

I did, I used the supplied one, which I know aren't the greatest, but it's what I had. If that's the case though, it could also be the vband, since that's before the 02 sensor as well. I'll have to get a stick lighter tomorrow and check for exhaust leaks.

    MS6 Downpipe Difficulties

First off, short mod list. Stock engine, BnrS3, 3 inch intake, HPFP internals, magnaflow catback, tuned with Versatune, and now, a catless downpipe...... So today I installed an Ebay catless downpipe on my MS6. After the hell of getting the old one out, (seriously screw that thing), I got...

    Crackle and Pop tunes released

I was able to compare the stock tune and and the 93oct crackle tune and very easily see the differences. The option for disabling decel fuel cut must be checked as well as some low load changes in two of the ignition tables and the ve table. It's pretty easy to see if you comapre those two...

    Crackle and Pop tunes released

How would we go about implementing this into a custom tune? I tried the "disable fuel cut on decel" checkbox under options and reflashed, but nothing changed.

60-100, 7.367s MS6, BNRS3 v1, 3 inch intake, Corksport TMIC, Test Pipe, Magnaflow catback, HPFP internals, stock downpipe, 93 Octane. 21psi of boost. Done in cool, not cold weather. (side note: When my K04 died, it dumped lots of oil into the exhaust, like, 1 pint in about 2 miles. I'm...

I'm pretty sure I have a BNR S3 that's slower. Seeing your post is starting to make me think there's something wrong with my car lol. Maybe I have a clogged cat or something. I'll have to dig up a 60-100 log.

    Custom Shift Cable

It would appear that their website has changed drastically. They used to have an option to build your own custom cables with an online configurator. I can't seem to find that now. You might have to call them and see if they'll still do a custom cable order. The options I selected can be found in...

    davychronic's build

It's been a while since I've flashed a tune to my car, but I believe those codes are caused by a bug with the mazdaspeed 6 ecu during flashing, if my memory is right. When you start flashing and versatune says to turn your ignition on without starting the car, you need to turn on the ignition...

    davychronic's build

The map sensor setting in the Intake Manifold Absolute Pressure gauge had me freaking out searching for boost leaks for something like a week and half. Once you get things figured out though VT is great.

    Custom Shift Cable

Nice! The adjustment is kind of a pain, but totally worth it. Did you by chance use loctite where the cable bulkheads attach to the bracket? One issue with the bracket design is that it's not clearanced very well to get a wrench in there to tighten the nuts on the bulkheads. I had an issue...

    Custom Shift Cable

If you draw a line from the 5/8 hole it should equally bisect the two mounting holes, it's not critical, just get it close. The overall dimensions of the plate will dictate how it fits, and those are on the diagram.

    Custom Shift Cable

The 2 3/8" is how high above the base plate the holes for the cable bulkheads are. Different holes than the ones that attach it to the transmission. Sorry if I misunderstood your question.

It's an oval hole, just like on the factory bracket.

    DIY 3.5” Air Intake

You can do a 3" with the stock size battery but you will have to cut the tray to make it fit, and the JBR at least just barely fits. That's what I did, but with an S3, which may not stick out as far as an S4. I think most people switch to a smaller 51r battery and tray, and then you can run a...

    DIY 3.5” Air Intake

The main issue with big intakes on the MS6 is the battery. I barely got a JBR 3 inch to fit with the stock size battery and tray. A 3.5 inch with an S4 will require a smaller battery and tray or a battery relocate.

    Custom Shift Cable

I've yet to see anyone put up numbers or attempt this on an MS3. The distance from where the cables attach to the shifter cage to the end fitting with it in neutral would need to be measured as well as the overall length of the cables.
