I know a while ago the Koni yellow struts with H&R Springs was the go to setup. That's what I have been running for 5 years now. It gives 1.5-2in drop. I've done autox, drag racing, road racing, street racing, and Dragon runs. I have about 80k miles on them. I do a lot of driving. On edge...
I had this issue recently. My issue was I didn't push the rubber grommet all the way on the pipe so it just pushed it in the cylinder and not seal properly. Even though I "thought" the hose was clipped in tight but it wasn't and FAIL. Lesson learned.
Mine was just rebuilt recently. It felt so good when it started right up. One of our guys has a motor that's been sitting in his shed for about a year now.
They repaved it 2 years ago I think. I ran on it once after it was done. It is so much better than it was. When I drag I usually get there about 2 hours after it opens and usually get 3-4 runs. With your mods I hope you run faster than 13.99 lol.
Welcome. What Part of Richmond? Pics of your car? There is a group of us that hang out pretty regularly. We also regularly go to car shows and track racing.
If you are pressed for time then I say go with a built engine from one of the shops. They take car of everything and have a warranty. I did a rebuild and I spent a lot of time ordering parts and waiting. Also ordering the wrong parts so it took longer than expected. Plus being a beginner at it...
I have DTA axle on the driver side. It's been on there for about a year. I have done a few passes drag racing, road course, and aggressive driving from time to time. They are holding up good. I feel confident going to into the dragon with it.
One of these days I'm going to make it out to VIR. It's not too far from where I live but I never been there.
