I've been removing and installing my undertray to do engine work, for the past 6 years! My Gen1 uses 3 10mm bolts across the front and then 2 on each side toward the rear of the tray. So 7 total. No clips.
Hey guys. I've owned my Gen 1 since 2010 and 16k miles. I now have 93k, and have yet to ever do any vvt work. It has never made any noise, so I figured it wasn't necessary.
Now that my mileage is getting higher, I'm wondering if this should be done as maintenance. Or if it's not making noise...
I would bring that nozzle in a touch more. The outer edge should be flush with the inside wall and the nozzle tip should actually be slightly protruding into the air stream.
Well it's been like 20* ambient here in NY, so it's kinda hard to tell. Lol. Ect's have been normal at 183-187*.
I'm really thinking of going for the Spearco core mentioned in the OP. But this will take some time as I can't even install the undermount ic kit until I go ewg. The iwg bracket is...
Well, I am running the cpe mani now. Those pictures were taken 2 years ago when I tried going fmic. Do you think that will have an effect on temps if I try again?
It's interesting what you say about the rear seal, I may try that.
Like I said previously, I have never had temp issues in the 6...
I saw that on Facebook recently, and thanks for bringing that up. I think it's a very good point, and leads me to another question. When I installed the Cobb fmic, it had me remove the plastic air guides running vertical along each side of the radiator as it would have interfered with the pipe...
I thought Justin was running the Cobb core?
I am spraying a ton of meth too. Lol. So I'm not too concerned with wot bat's, but really more concerned with idle, low speed bat's and the affect the core has on ect's.
I've actually been more keen on the 3" cores, because my thoughts were that the 3.5" thick TR8 that I had was butted up against my radiator. I'm not sure how true that is, but it's my assumption. I figured if I went with a 3" thick core it would leave a little room for airflow/temperature...
I wanted to start a discussion to get people's opinions/observations on the different FMIC cores on the market. I am running a CP-E tmic at the moment, making roughly 420whp, on a gtx3071. But as we all know, we need moar power! I did have the Cobb v2 piping kit with a TR8 core, and absolutely...
It looks like cp-e released the havoc fuel rail, for their manifold. Maybe we can use this thread to gather data, since I don't see them as being a vendor here..
I am also eagerly awaiting HTP's meth tank release.
Sorry to derail for one quick sec, but your a moderator, so the best to ask. How do you quote posts on this forum, I don't see a button for it.
Edit- Nevermind, I'm retarded. :)
