Yes. I had to trim the carpet around the mounting points which was quite a pain. If you don't trim the carpet, it won't sit flush against the metal on the mounting points.

If its the same turbo as the Mazda 3 Turbo, the model number for the turbo should be TD04LR4-04H*12HE1T-5. I was told that it was designed by Mazda and manufactured by Mitsubishi.

I had considered the cx30 also for the same reason. I run alot of errands and get in and out of the car but one thing that swayed my decision was that ugly plastic cladding around the fenders. If it werent for that, I'd have bought the cx30. Any plans to mod the cx30?
