I'm hitting about 186 g/s at about 77 degrees ambient air temp. Its not a clean datalog though as I wasn't able to go wot, I need to try again but just curious to see what others are hitting in terms of peak air flow numbers.

I have a 2023 Mazda 3 Turbo Hatch, AFE drop in filter, silicone elbow and heat reflective tape as the only mods.

260 g/s on a tuned/bolted '12. Stock k04, 118k miles. First time I've seen g/s on a gen4, interesting. Wonder if an aftermarket will ever take off for those.

There is an aftermarket but its not as popular a platform because auto only.

Car is very capable and fun though. The handling on these newer cars is really impressive. Responds well to mods. Some one made 370 wtq with full bolt ons and tune.

I found a datalog from my 2011 MS3. Stock turbo, full bolt ons and tuned. This was an earlier version of my car, after some other mods like ported intake manifold, it was able to hit 320g/s. Ambient was pretty cold though, around 30 degrees.

Something seems off on that old log. 1.9 load, 75% WGDC, and less than 20psi of boost don't really correlate with 320 g/s IMO. Who were you tuned by? FWIW I hit 2.2-2.3 load on a good cold weather log.

I do like the new gen 4 cars a lot - my daily is a CX-30 base model these days. It's a much nicer car to live with than a raw, angry Speed.

It was tuned by Nishan but it was probably in the middle of part changes.

Logs are over 10 years old, so its difficult to remember exactly what I changed.

I asked him not to push it to the limits as it was my daily, it made 318hp/343tq on the stock turbo.

Yeah the gen4s are nice. You should check out the turbo model, its completely different. Its nothing like the base version. Its no mazdaspeed, just silky smooth and quiet, quite the sleeper. The awd acceleration is too much fun. I do miss the angry "its go time, all the time" ms3, if only they made a manual version of the turbo, it'd be a monster.

So now I'm in a gen4 Turbo. A '24 3 Premium Plus. It's stunning in soul red and the full aero kit. This is a really great car. And, it absolutely moves. I drive it in manual (paddles) mode frequently. It feels as fast as my Speed did below 80mph. Need to figure out a mod path, or if I'm just happy with something stock and reliable. Maybe just a JB4? Too bad there's no good forum for the platform. Reddit is awful, and this place is kind of a ghost town now.

I've still got my Speed, @Awafrican . For now at least. But it's a 13 year old performance car with a stiff suspension and a high strung maintenance queen motor and I'm a 44 year old man with a family. Enough was enough.
