For those of you who haven't yet had the pleasure of experiencing a Midwest Meet, here's your chance!

This gathering is always a good time, and is a great way to enjoy the company of your Mazdaspeed brethren in a relaxing and fun environment.

Time: Come over any time, we get up around 7am.​

We do have a lift if anyone needs it and will open up at least one more stall for cars needing to be on stands and such.​

Foods: We will be making smoked food as well as grilling hotdogs and burgers.
BYOB, we will provide water.
After Dinner: We will also be starting a bonfire later on. I'm a fan of smores so save some room for dessert.
Please let us know of any food allergies you may have.

For those looking to drive their cars fast in a safe and controlled environment with turns, look no further! Here's the registration links for the CGI Motorsports track day at Gingerman Raceway in MI:

If you have any questions on which group you think you should register for, feel free to shoot me or @MATT DAMOND a PM. We honestly recommend an instructor for anyone who questions whether of not they need one, has not tracked in awhile, or has not been to this track. There are class room sessions for the Novice group, which we recommend on everyone attending, unless you're a seasoned veteran of racing. Don't sign up for the "advance group" to be cool Mr hot shot, they'll knock you down at the track to a lower group.

The pricing has increased a bit over years past, but is still quite reasonable for the amount of track time when compared to most other venues.

The cost is $275 for Novice, and $225 for Intermediate and Advance. The extra $50 covers the instructors for Novices (if you've previously been approved for solo track time by CGI as a Novice, the fee may be waived and you may run sans instructor).

Woot! Thanks @Nliiitend1 for making a thread! As I mentioned before, if there is interest in a dyno day on Saturday I can set one up. People who dont want to do that can go to Craig's Cruisers. I would need a handful of people to sign up and make it worth it. AWD dyno at Whalen's Speed R&D.

Hmmm I might be able to actually make it out this year, Wife's aunt lives local and could crash there with family.

 

Just ran this by the wife and she seems game to go so I should be there but only for Friday and Saturday nights leaving Sunday morning. I won't be dynoing or racing just hanging out and drinking beer with Nator homo's.

 

Awesome. I'm hoping I'll finally be able to attend this meet. It's only a couple hours away from home for me and I can finally plan for it instead of a last minute dash to see if it can work.

Yeah @Nliiitend1 knows about bringing a bike and what a bad idea that is. I had a nice broken bike in my garage for like a month. haha

For the weekend of Midwest, there are a total of 30 rooms and I believe, 5 suites, maybe 6.
To date, 2 reservations have been made.

When you register all you need to do is mention you are with the NATOR group and what dates you want to stay. They will note your room with "NATOR" and Justin will add it to the list.

Justin is our contact but you do not need to book your room through him to get our rates.

The resort is under new management since we last stayed there, Justin did know who we were but did not say we had any special group rate. We were given the group name so that we would be roomed close together.

I'll just plan to call the resort again and ask about the rates. I don't want people getting bent about what it is costing to stay there.

From what we can tell from searching on the forums, in 2013 we were given a less than 10% discount but in 2014 there were no rates listed. I'll do what I can but I make no promises.
