Welp new tune, new goals. I want to preface this by saying this is a very, very dangerous tune. It was done as a "just because" I wanted to and to really stress out the stock fueling limitations. A thread inspired me to do stupid shit. I'm a persistent cunt. Next step is dyno this.

Please don't be going to your favorite e-tuner and asking them to get you 500whp on pump gas without any secondary injection b/c they ain't gonna do it. They will laugh you straight out of your own email service.

Even if this vdyno is off a certain percent this is still CRAZY for stock fueling minus the upgraded hpfp internals. Don't be trying this on your 30 frame turbos if you're so inclined. This is a near 80lb/min turbo.

Next dyno session is March 5th. This is on 93 octane pump gas only. My meth lines and nozzles are abscent of the car at the moment and PI is not hooked up. This is as far as this tune goes.

For those curious how I can do 3rd gear pulls. They work pretty good at this power level and below.

Here's what that shit show actually looks like with smoothing = 1, AFR column not corrected for that huge dip you had, and throttle position set to 75% in all cells since otherwise you get those weird inflection points in the graph like you see in the OP. I thought everyone knew how to do that by now.

You don't need to adjust throttle when you log APP. I can delete throttle straight from the log at this point or not log it. You throw it off by adjusting throttle to 100 in this case. Only time when throttle can throw it off is when you don't log APP.
 
I don't even log throttle unless I'm troubleshooting a boost/load target issue.
 
Phil it's the HTA3586 that you rode in at the dragon. Albeit a much crazier tune. When you rode it in it was like 20psi on pump. A basic bitch tune to not break anything. My DD tune.
 
The effort is definitely there, but the data isn't. Overlay a couple 4th gear logs for me without wheelspin and blatant manipulation of the data (why would you even try to hide the fact that you had wheelspin or triggered the SWAS or TCS? Just fucking take another log or take one in 4th gear. It's just plain lazy)...with smoothing = 1 or 2 and then I'll start to believe someone's making 500 whp on pump. But that vdyno in the OP is such bullshit it's a goddamn insult. We shouldn't accept this kind of crap data around here. Otherwise this is gonna be a Mazdas247 or Focusst.org type of forum instead of a supposedly better version of MSF. Sorry to go all Tokay on your ass here, but just looking at that vdyno pisses me off. People on these forums gets so caught up in getting a certain number that they spend hours and hours trying to patch up shit data so that it gives them the result they want instead of the result they'd get if they actually strapped their car to a dyno.
 
I just posted what was there. Same road I took a vdyno on that was within a percent or so if my actual dyno. Think it was 421 vs 415. I even stated in the op that if this is actually within certain degree of error that I'd still crazy for pump gas without any supplemental fuel. Heck if it's within 10 percent it's still crazy on the stock fueling capability. Certainly much better than the absolute max of 380 I was adamantly told before. You can even ask enki, at best I expected 450 on pump before having to manipulate another ceiling to get higher. I can easily look at the logs and see that is greater than that. The car made 415 uncorrected at 21psi with 30 percent less fuel. Think about it for a moment. It's at practically 4.5v of air on a 3.5in intake on pump gas with the stock fueling. That's out flowing bnr S4s with octane and fueling headroom boosts. Again 93 octane. I've already been accused of throwing in E or meth in the tank.

Also, you can log rpm vs speed and see there's no traction loss. A bump or two? Sure. Traction loss, no.

Dude I know, I'm not saying you aren't making 500 whp...my point is that I have literally no idea what you're making...yes, you are flowing a shit-ton of air due to your extremely free flowing setup and large turbo. I'm just over here cringing looking at that vdyno. You shouldn't have even posted that thing. I'm just saying take 10 goddamn minutes and take and overlay a couple 4th gear logs without wheelspin or SWAS intervention (whatever happened there). All you do when you post crap data like that, and manipulate it, is damage your reputation (if that even matters since it's the internet lol) and leave more questions than answers. Why bother? I'm on your side, I think ~500 whp is possible on this car with a big enough turbo and efficient enough setup. Nobody's even making you create this thread. Either make it and provide data that backs up your claim, or just don't. Just my opinion.
 
Vdyno has its flaws. If you notice from the logged speed/vd hp by rpm you'll see there's no real evidence of any traction loss other than vdyno doing some weird shit. A bump? Perhaps. A loss of traction? the most over exaggerated spike in hp I've ever saw to such a subtle form of traction loss if there was. Also take note the spike in HP with smoothing 1 comes during an episode where it looks like the car travels uphill momentarily. The car actually maintains speed while the vdyno travels in an exaggerated upward motion.

Also here's one from the other log. This map dynoed 415whp on a dynojet with vdyno doing something similar but within 10whp of smoothing 6.

Also, I'm just posting what I have. I'm not going to be making too many pulls with such an aggressive map. I'm dynoing on this map or a form of this map on March 5th so there's no use levy undue risk at the expensive of trying to find a vdyno that suits everyone when they will just discredit anyways.

As a matter of fact, @rfinkle2 already discredits the actual dyno. Even though, it seems spots on with other cars, yet doesn't fit the argumentative position about the 2 cars he questions.

I'm guessing it won't be believable until it actually dyno's 380whp and they can say "told you so". There's obviously some sort of angst against what I'm trying to do for whatever reason. I mean seriously, look at the messages I'm receiving.

Exactly, it would make sense that before we go out sizing "larger" injectors that we know the absolute max the stock ones will do and have data to apply in that decision. Other than my pure curiosity to just do it, @Enki 's thread is one of the catalysts that actually got me going. Risky? Hell yes it is. Reason why my hands sweat and adrenaline starts rushing long before I go WOT on these maps.

And when/if we can get a solution for larger injectors over stock, i'll be doing the same tests with those injectors as well. I just wonder how many dicks I'm gonna be told to suck then too?

Ryan, with any due respect to you, and all due respect to Enki, let me address your tag if only briefly.

I understand what you guys are trying to do, and I'm normally a very positive and encouraging voice for the platform, but in your recent dynos, vdyno or dynojet, I find some claims that your car are making blatantly inflated.

1) To say that a car is making 370 hp on 20 psi on pump gas ignition advance using a Mazdaspeed flanged turbo (the s4) is very difficult for someone with some experience on the platform to believe. I'm referring to Cory Adam's FB post regarding his 370 hp 20 psi pump gas dyno results

2) You made 400 hp on this dynojet @ 22 psi previously. Do you feel that adding 5 lbs of boost has netted you 100 additional hp?

Look man, quit tagging me, because what you are doing is blurring the lines between quality scientific research and an inflated dyno pissing match.

I'm not interested in your vdynos, dynojet numbers or anything that you are doing that is peak HP related.

Just so everyone is aware, and I'm sure most of you are, his posts did NOT include any info, science or reason on what he's doing or trying to prove. Just creating useless buzz and drama. And that was my issue with them.

And like everyone said, the reason why these type of posts (like the above) are so annoying is when the "public" sees stuff like this they start shooting for #s that are not possible in the means that are implied in the posts... regardless of what you're trying to prove. Everyone appreciates anyone that tries to push the platform, especially when it's out of their own pocket....just don't be a dick about it. I've seen guys like you before on this platform, stir shit and cry from all the haters - they never last.
