So now we've come to tire department!

What are you guys running for street racing?
Using r888rs but I'm not a big fan.

Whatcha guys using?

Not too many out there doing sushi rolls but can't go wrong with Michelin

while I haven't ran them myself I hear good things about good year eagle F1, @Enki what are you running on yours you mentioned you have done serious grip

Enki is on Hankook RS3 or maybe RS4s at this point I believe. I just went from Mich PS4s to Falken RT615s and it was a BIG difference in grip.

Both the Hankook RS4 and the Falken RT615+ are in the same category as the Mich Cup2s. Like you said Awa can never go wrong with Mich tires but they are expensive, I couldn't justify Cup2s on a 10 year old Mazda 3.

There are some trade offs obviously going to a 200 TW tire. Tire service life and wet weather performance mainly, but if all you are concerned with is dry pavement grip it's worth researching.

Tire rack has some really good data/reviews for figuring out which direction you want to go in any given category.

OP what specifically do you not like about the tires you are using?

The toyos are rated 100 AA A

But man, to get the to hook in third gear i have to heat them to hell.
if not? third is neutral. tired of spinning that much.

What size wheel/tire are you running, width wise? Might be time to consider a meatier setup to up your grip along with changing compounds. If you aren't opposed to some poke or getting some flares going the sky is nearly the limit.
I don't like the look of most flares I've seen done but still considering that road so I can run a 275+ width tire...

Maybe you can squeeze some more meat on your current wheel setup even - stretch is for the low and slow!

Just saw this today, but I've never been higher than 400 to the wheels (1.01 sm3). RS3/4 held just fine.
