I got an RS as my daily. ‘16 w/ 25k. RS2 package, optioned with heated mirrors, steering wheel, seats, nitrous blue. No performance modifications, everything is cosmetic. AWE exhaust, lowering springs, spacers, tail lights, Ford Performance short shifter and that’s it. No open recalls on it, so the headgasket issue is non-existent here.
Oddly, my speed is much faster than my RS. No clue what power the speed makes, but the RS has lost every race against my speed.
My old daily was a ‘16 malibu. Loved that thing, super comfortable. Sold it recently. I test drove a bunch of cars in search of a new daily. Funny that I ended up getting an RS. Also super comfortable.
0 modifications planned for the RS. It's the daily, it's going to stay that way. Plus, I'd be scared of turning the open deck engine into an open block engine.
I've been without an actual daily for about 6 months now. Let me tell you, stressful. Plus, the amount of times the speed has left me stranded somewhere... yeah, happy to be in a daily again. Now I can get back to working on putting that TS-1 turbo on the speed.
