Amsoil Severe Gear Color?

Can anybody tell me what color amsoil severe gear 75w90w is for our transmissions?

The liquid was gold and see through I think.

I used it once a long time ago, black bottle with a red label.

I don't use that stuff anymore, switched to Motul and am much happier.

Was it more clear looking then motor oil? I have a leak between the transmission and motor and the oil looks clear.

I really don't remember, but it stunk to friggin high heaven. That stuff had a really nasty smell compared to motor oil or other gear oils.

Check your trans fluid, it's a a big plug facing the radiator. It should be just below the hole if you stick your finger to feel. It takes about 2.5 or 2.75 qts.

seconded on gear oil stinking, if its gear oil you should be able to tell with just your nose.

Well guys i have a crack in the bell housing near a bearing. Is this a known problem with the ms6 trans?
