BAT’s, what to do

The heat issues typically don’t appear during regular street use. The difference between street/track driving a car is huge.
True... Is it normal for the hotpipe to my fmic that goes over the engine to get so hot that you can’t touch it once the motor is off? I feel like that is really hot for ic piping lol BAT’s for me are like 80’s I would guess just driving around right now with it 45* outside.

During WOT this would obviously drop substantially until the poor little ko4 heats things back up up top. Haha

That pipe will definitely get hot no matter what sitting above the engine. That’s something I haven’t even started addressing yet as I feel like it doesn’t matter as much as properly ducting my front grill would. On street, bats and coolant temps are never an issue. Stop and go yea little heat soak, but back road cruising and doing 4th gear logs are a non issue.

That's baby BAT's! You can look at my old TMIC to FMIC conversion starting here. TMIC BAT data is here, and FMIC data is here.

If I still had the car, I would use bigger cold side piping, add better ducting to the FMIC , and call it a day. With this design I never had problems with high coolant temps as there was plenty of fresh air going into the radiator (I bet not having A/C helped too).

Yea I read through there a long time ago and remember seeing some high numbers lol.
I think proper ducting will do a lot for the car. Keeping bats down will help gain me easy power on track.

coolant temps seem to be OK for now, although I do still see up to 230 before I let off for cool down. Ducting should help that. Before my oil cooler I would see up to 240f
