So here it goes, the beginning of my super long and drawn out build of my Speed 3. Literally I am looking at 1-2 mods a year due to budget.

My speed takes me to work and back and very seldom drives on the weekends. I have 2 kids and a wife, so the van takes most of the miles. I have put roughly 10k on it during my 1st year of ownership and expect that to be the norm.

History: Purchased my 2008.5 GT September 2015 with 49k on it. It was bone stock aside from a k&n drop in filter, car came with service records, the whole shebang. This is my first manual, first turbo.

Goals: A reliable, fun car, that will take me into 100k and beyond.

Current Mods/Updates:
VVT Service done at about 55k at the dealer (began making noise on winter cold starts)
Switched to 5w 40 (preventive measure)
JBR Banjo Bolt (preventive measure)
2 Resonators removed
Cobb SRI
AP V2
DM RMM
18% Rear and 35% front tint
ebay 3000k Yellow Fog Bulbs

To Be Installed:
N/A

On the list:
Autotechs/CS Internals
Test pipe
Tune
OCC
Eonon GA6151F Head unit (down the road)
Mudflaps

I am in the same boat with my build Papabone. I to am not looking to push the car to the max, just as fun as it can be whale being safe and conservative cause its my daily driver. I noticed a big difference in just how the car felt all around once I got my rmm installed and broken in.. at first the vibs where crazy, but now there barely noticeable. Not sure how much snow you get, but id recommend adding some snow tires to your list. I got some rather budget brand ones, and they work great last season.

That's exactly my approach @Gizmo.

We dont get much snow down in south eastern NC, if it is frozen it usually comes in the form of ice. My "cold" winter mornings are around 25-30 F. You laugh at such temps im sure up in Canada. I really cannot wait to put the RMM on honestly. Its almost time for an oil change so I'll throw it on then.

haha yeah 30 i might switch from shorts to jeans at that point.

Doing my CS internals soon hopefully, i will let you know if i hit any snags.

Damond RMM installed. I was worried at first startup thinking something was wrong. I am a total noob to any upgraded mount on any car and the vibes scared the shit out of me. I know they will subside in time.

1st impression of the 5 miles I drove it, shifts like a dream. Now for the break-in....

After initial thoughts of clunking being normal, found my install wasn't right.

Added washer, tightened her down and we are smooth sailing now.

Sent using smoke signals

So to add to my so called build. This winter so far has been "rice mods" apparently. Personal things I wanted to have done to the car for looks.

Added tint
18% for rear windows and hatch, 35% front two. The PO has some old cheap tint on the rear windows that was turning purple, and not dark enough for my kids in the back.

Also I added yellow LED fog lights - ebay bulbs. We'll see how long they last, and if they die it was only like 14 bucks and Ill jump on a full LED fog kit or HID kit. The Stock HID + Yellow fog looks so perfect to me. They a purely for looks though, like the stock fogs, they don't do shit. Which is fine for me.

When you get a chance I'd love to see a pick with your new tint on. I was thinking of doing something similar
