I was very impressed just in the fact that the dude took over an hour to talk to me and just go over everything. His first question was a qualifying question before we got started, "do you know how the damper adjustment knob/needle valve works?" i was like 90% correct. After that, he went full beans lol. Guess he wanted to make sure he wasnt wasting his time lol.
The rear is so incredibly bad that its causing all sorts of chassis dynamic issues. The fact he watched my video and saw what i was going to mention, means he knows what to look for and he actually watched the footage which is sick. Definitely +1 for customer service.
These guys technically owe me nothing so i am impressed. He had the simulation going, my videos going, everything. It was like i was actually talking to a human who gave a shit!? what a concept
Most of the time dealing with companies, you just need someone who cares. most companies dont give a shit and thats just too bad.
I am hoping to find some good lap time here. at least half a second, maybe more. With how off the rear dampers were it sounds like the change will be significant.
Next up, i need to pack up these dampers and ship them out.
The engineer is working on new shock bodies for me as he mentioned they will need to be longer with more stroke to accommodate the helper spring setup.
It sounds like i will be on a completely new suspension!
We might have to do a few revisions so after this season we'll evaluate and see if we need to modify the dampers any more in any direction, or try more/less spring rate. Let the tuning begin!
