COBB AP inaccurate posting

Hey everyone. I am in need of some information. A few weeks back, I purchased a genpu speed3 touring. PO installed the following:

CS CAI
Turbo smart 50/50 BOV (set to recir)
Custom exhaust with stock DP and muffler and res delete.

I did a few data dumps on my AP, and it shows that AFR is static for most of the drive. Anyone can shed some light as to why the AFR would not change as RPM goes higher into boost? I also noticed that the boost hit at 11 and above shows negative?

I have some parts on the way. Specifically HPFP internals, EGR delete, and turbo inlet pipe. So, retune for sure is going to happen. Thanks
 
When I switched to Stage 0 v400, the static AFR is now reading. What does this mean?
 
Oh could be a bad flash., Have you ensured your access port firmware is up to date? If that's done try reflashing and hopefully that fixes it.
Do you know what was on there before?
 
I did the firmware updates to my AP earlier today.

Prior to me purchasing the vehicle, the PO mentioned to me that at some point there was a Stage III protune. There was no specifics discussed about the tune. All I was told was that the speed3 went to the dealer for the dashboard recall. AP was left in the car while it was at the dealer and got locked out. Though, I don't see any maps locked on my AP. It's possible that it was there, but it's hidden until money is paid to COBB to unlock it. The PO did not have a custom tune when I purchased the vehicle. AP3-MAZ-002 v.1.7.3.0-13871 Reflash Stage II 91v250 was active with LC @6700 and SFF active. The COBB map was loaded by the previous owner for me. Still navigating the murky waters and trying to understand the data.

Eventually I will figure out a way to understand it. For now, I am focused on getting the parts installed so that I don't destroy my car. My expectation is that even with CAI, exhaust, and 50/50 BOV that at minimum, I would be close to stock AFR instead of getting possible false data from the AP.

When I switched to the Stage 0 v400, the AFR was not static under load. The AP shows me that it's measuring, but what is concerning is the fact that it's not closer to 13-14. Though, it may not be the stock number. I asked my friend and said that it could be the tune, but its after all a COBB tune generic. So, he advised me to keep the car at home so that I don't melt the HPFP and detonate.
 
Stage 0 is Cobb's simulated stock map ie stock map that allows you to install and use the accesport.

Could be a bad flash and just need to be flashed again.
 
Gotcha. I will stay on stage 0 for now until I get a real tune. AFAIK, I want to avoid damaging anything. Thanks.
 
Forgot to ask, when using Stage 0 v400, would I be okay with stock HPFP internals? Or should I just park it?
 
Its the stock map dude just Cobb's copy... Like I've already said so yes you're okay to drive it with stock fuel pump.

Like I said try reflashing it so hopefully the afrs move a little.

I can appreciate this concern. And you may want to verify it prior to taking anyone's blind advice.

Your aftermarket mods could affect your tune, however this may only be damaging under heavy loads. Check your logs, study what the values mean, ensure sensor values are acceptable. If something looks wrong, post it here and we can assist. Or just take it easy on the car until you get supporting mods and tune your car :)

Thanks for the reply @The_big_dill. The issues all started when a friend of mine saw the way the AFR oscillated on my AP. From what he mentioned to me, his concern was the AFR oscillated between 14.5 and higher. But his largest concern was when he blipped the throttle at idle, and the AFR oscillation did not correspond with drop in RPM. Meaning, the AP stopped reading the AFR as if it was off.

It's possible that the numbers are completely off. I datalogged 2 separate pulls yesterday. The odd thing is, 1 log was reading the HPFP above 1700, but the other log showed it at well below 1700. Its difficult for me to see what is going on with the HPFP readings, but I suspect that every other log going forward will be different from the one before it. Even in the same day.
