I want to Install the corksport HPFP internals on my gen 2 but don't have the tools corksport gives you. Is it possible to install it without the tools or should I get them from corksport, they cost $50 which I would like to avoid if I can.

If you look here at this video you can see what all is involved - If you are even remotely mechanically inclined you can probably find a couple of washers and a PVC tube at a hardware store and replicate the process.

That is true, I was hoping there was a way to throw the piston and spring in a vice and tap that top piece on without any tube.

You want to be really careful if you put it in a vice not to scratch the internals - use a thick cloth around it, etc.

Yes definitely, one thing I worry about is hitting to hard and over do it. The tool stops you from hitting it to deep. What do you think?

Should be no problem hitting it to hard, the key is repetitive light strikes and you should know when it seats. Corksport's instructions should also lay it out clearly.

Okay I think I will try and do it without the tool and just use a vice, seems like it is very duable

Update: I installed the Corksport HPFP without the tools, I just quicly Fab'd a couple washers I found in the garage and used a plubing pipe. Got the job done and saved 50 bucks. Thanks you
