Creaking/Groaning when turning steering wheel at low speeds

So when at a stop or going slow, turning the wheel causes a strange groaning from the front end, sounds like the right side. I jacked up car but didn't see anything.

Wondering if this is common or anyone else experienced it? I don't want to throw parts at it but clueless where to start.

Check that the top of your end link isn't rubbing the frame. Mine was doing that with certain end links that were too close.

Ok, I'll have to do that next weekend. Yesterday, I looked at end links, tie rod, and ball joints but saw nothing. May have to get brother over to turn the wheel while I'm under it.
