Hello. I'm buying a rear engine mount for my Gen 2 Mazdaspeed 3. Which one do you recommend? CS Stage II RMM or Damond Motorsports RMM? I looked through older threads and think Damond is more popular.

If I buy a Damond, which one should I choose: street or race? Thank you.

I have another question on this topic. Do you recommend purchasing a Shifter Bushing Set?

You can't go wrong with either of them. Both are great choices.

I have a 6, not a 3. And never used a CS mount, so my experience may not be directly relevant. But I will tell you my experience with my 6. I originally got AWR mounts, like decades ago. Terrible. Absolutely intolerable vibrations. Though part of the problem was I also had the Turbine Tech front mount which I also do not recommend. Anyway, I threw away the AWR mounts, the TT front mount, and installed full set of Damond. (Trans, side, rear). And I got mine slightly before the street even existed, so I got the race. But honestly, I would almost think they sent me street by mistake except for the fact they didn't exist. I feel ZERO vibration. Not at idle, not at speed. ZERO. Z.E.R.O. I also "undid" my balance shaft delete. I did the delete on my original engine, but when I had a new engine built, I said I wanted to keep the balance shaft.

Now, if you look at my signature, you can see I have a lot of CS parts. And they make some good parts. But after one of my CS rear control arm failed and could have wrecked my car and did do a moderate amount of damage, and CS's complete lack of taking responsibility, well, I personally won't buy any CS suspension parts again. Of course that's just me and many people are perfectly happy with the CS mounts. But I wouldn't.

damond makes the best motor mounts on the market for the speeds, period. I trust very few corksport parts; under tray, injector puller, short shifter, solid shifter bushings.whereas anything damond sells I'd put on my car.

Same.

I had JBR trilogy mounts ages ago. Fuck them. I switched to Damond in 2014 and never looked back. I would recommend the street bushings.

Thank you. I bought Damond Street

I'm sure you'll be quite happy. Based on the topic, I guess you just got the rear? If you ever need the others, getting the full Damond set will be awesome.

I neglected to answer this question. I got some for my 6. I got the TWM, but I assume that they are all basically the same. They're fine, I guess. But honestly, I didn't notice a big difference in the feel of the shifting until I replaced the trans mount. YMMV
