Devil's Own kit keeps killing progressive controller

Ouch :/ well now it's down to between AEM V2 v Snow Stage 2 v Cooling Mist Stage 2!
Just FYI, I've heard a lot of folks don't like Snow either. Feel free to chime in if you have one, guys.
If it were me, Moose, I'd go AEM or CM. Personally, I love my CM.

AEM is also the cheapest at the moment. $396 shipped from Amazon. The kit that I want from CM is $520 because it's progressive like the other ones that I mentioned earlier. Blah. AEM is a popular choice so I might jump on that one.

i use to run an AEM for manny years under hard north winter conditions. I expect that they probably use the same pump with a different sticker and pressure for each brand. Yes these progressive controller need to be well grounded to supply the pump. The positive of the controller don't need as much amps.
I would look at your pump. A DC clamp on is not cheap and usually not precise for these small loads but a multimeter on the 10A scale would work. (My worn out pump with a 1000cc jet suck about 2A and rise to 6-7A pluged at 100-150psi...) The less pressure you have, the less current it would take so you can first try it with the hose disconnected.

Other than that, the product may have a defect because it isn't a complicated device. It is basically a DC drive with a map sensor signal and few goodies...

If you look at a controller only and you would like something sophisticated, i switched to a very nice one that is laptop programmable. I had a hard time to send it the rpm signal but other than that, i like it and runs on my car for the last month.

I have yet to replace my pump after all this time. I haven't had a moment to remove the front bumper. Once i do i'll update you all how it goes. I ended up buying one of those vinyl "condom" tube pump covers to combat moisture damage given the mounting location I used.

Not to derail my own thread haha, but @Redline I see you have a Synapse DV. I just installed mine and i'm extremely surprised how fast it is in comparison to my forge v2 i was running. What are your thoughts? And what mode are you running it in? Push/Pull.

It's your thread; you can do whatever you want to it, haha. Anyways, I have to run it in push mode because I have a Guardian Angel, which only works with a push-mode BPV or BOV. I have both ports A and B connected and have found it to be a very responsive and extremely reliable valve. It's 2x as fast as the next fastest valve which lends to its smoothness/responsiveness. And even with spring preload set to the softest setting, it has no trouble holding my ~25psi.

I installed mine and i'm in love. It's quite a bit faster than my previous forge bpv v2. The car does not buck on light throttle input anymore and in between shifts. I highly recommend this diverter valve. When i first went to install it, it broke at the flange held by the three "teeth" mated to my tmic. After some research i found out it was a common problem on the earlier versions of the DV. Thankfully living in San Diego Synapse is down by the border. They completely replaced the broken valve body, rebuilt and lubed it up for me at no charge! Peter, the owner of Synapse was awesome to deal with and he was impressed with my setup. He informed me they were thinking of releasing a fmic kit for our application. Of course i told him i'd be your local guinea pig!
