Went to clean my EGR valve and EGR tube today. Had a hell of a time getting the tube off and then when I went to put it back on I couldn't get the front bolt to thread in properly. It sits in place and I can turn the bolt but it won't actually thread. Spent forever trying to get it to sit properly and thread on but it wasn't having it. Help??

I've never removed the tube myself. But when you removed the bolt, was it really tight and hard to remove? It sounds like you pulled the threads out with the bolt but you should have seen that if so. Not crossthreaded because the bolt will still start. If you have the bolt angled perfectly and it sits in the hole but won't tighten, you either have the wrong bolt or no threads.

The bolt was difficult to remove, but I've read that is the case for others who have done it also. As far as the threads I don't know, but it sure as hell looked to me like there were still threads inside that the bolt should be turning onto.
