ENM 2018 Dragon Camp

So from what I've heard ENM will be April 18th-22nd. Can anyone confirm? Hoping what I've heard is correct; if it is I hope to meet some fellow Mazdaspeeds!

 

Ya same management just owner ship change, and from what they have told me he has actually been putting some money into the hotel to update it some. Just a fyi next week I am taking the block of rooms off my card so the rate will go up $10 for the rooms.

You mean for anyone who gets rooms after that, right?

Glad to hear that the people running it are still they same. They have taken good care of us in the past. They have also been very good to the wife and I when we did a little trip last year to play with her GTI. That being said, I booked something a little more interesting for us this year, since our anniversary is that Friday. I really like that hotel, but it is pretty dated, so it's good that they are doing some updates.

 

The place is dated but its clean and its where the shenanigans are happening, out of curiousty what did you book? since I proposed to my now fiance at dragon camp a few years back I would like to scope out something nicer just for us one of these times.


Make sure you have some sort of communication, once you get out of Robbinsville Theres pretty much no cell service. Walkie talkies will help you talk to your group about 1-2 miles. I recommend the baofeng UV-5R, these radios are 4 watts which are 4x more powerful than the ones you typically find in the stores.

I actually got a phone call from theme yesterday and they are actually needing to take some rooms off the block I have held not sure how many as I have not had time to call. But yes after the rooms are taking off hold the price will go up $10

We are going to stay at the tree house resort. They look interesting and have stuff to wash the car underneath. When I booked it I was hoping to bring my Miata, but my work has stalled me working on it, so now I may be bringing the Speed. I hope they don't kick us out for rolling in late with loud exhaust.

It looked like something the wife would like, and they are going to put flowers and chocolates and I think some Champaign in the room the day of our anniversary.
