Ok guys its that time again! Epic Nator Meet!

This year's meet will again be at Tail of the Dragon w/ Mazda Dragon Camp. Feedback was that everyone had a blast last year so sticking with it agian this year. Turnout was great for the first year here. Everyone was very well behaved and Im sure the community will be happy to have us back. Plans for a can food drive should be in the works again as well.

This post will be updated with information as it becomes available. Get on the hype train and spread the word!

3PM: Arrival/Check in
5PM: Weenie Roast with MDC. Will be setting up "local beer" sampling during this. We had a great showing last time for the weenie roast !Friday night will be our rain-check for this.

**DDs WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT BACK TO THE HOTEL**
**CARPOOLING IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED**

Funds will be collected for weenie roast via paypal. (This will be included with the purchase of your Saturday dinner ticket FYI).

Friday April 22
8AM and 10 AM will have group runs over the Skyway and Bald River Falls for individual photos of cars at the falls. Makes for a great drive, as well as great pics! The Cherohala Skyway, a National Scenic Byway

Then into groups and check out the dragon, Cherohala skyway and hellbender 28 to Fontana Dam!

Well, it looks like I'll be making the trek down to the Dragon by myself. Everyone in my area has bailed on the trip. I'm not surprised honestly, I think I was the only one from NATOR RVA that had fun meeting everyone and actually wanted to go out and slay the Dragon. Everyone else that I went down with just stayed holed up in the hotel room all weekend...

So it looks like it's going to be a pretty lonely 7.5 hour drive. I'm sure my wife will end up passed out asleep in the passenger seat for most of the trip haha. Good thing I'll have all you guys to look forward to seeing again once we're all down there.

Anyone rolling through Richmond, VA on the way down so I can maybe jump into a convoy with? Might make the drive a little more fun if nothing else.

It'll be more like 7.5 hours of sitting in the truck frantically looking in my rear view at the car on the trailer and wondering how many new rock chips I'll find once I get there...

 

If I come down from PA I may be able to meet up with you along the way.

FYI, I just called Microtel:
3 Single Queen Bed Rooms Left-$58.46 a night.

Probably Atlanta would be your best bet... then get one of the GA or FL guys to grab you on the way up

There was talk between @InkedInspector and myself about doing a bourbon/whiskey + cigar night Friday. Bring out some good stuff and have a blast. I know it's not beer, but maybe a suitable replacement?

You just haven't had good enough whiskey/bourbon then. There's some really smooth stuff out there.

 

I used to drink George Dickel straight back in my youth, was very smooth. I recall it used to be cheap too but priced it recently and it's far from cheap now.
