Ok guys its that time again! Epic Nator Meet!

This year's meet will again be at Tail of the Dragon w/ Mazda Dragon Camp. Feedback was that everyone had a blast last year so sticking with it agian this year. Turnout was great for the first year here. Everyone was very well behaved and Im sure the community will be happy to have us back. Plans for a can food drive should be in the works again as well.

This post will be updated with information as it becomes available. Get on the hype train and spread the word!

3PM: Arrival/Check in
5PM: Weenie Roast with MDC. Will be setting up "local beer" sampling during this. We had a great showing last time for the weenie roast !Friday night will be our rain-check for this.

**DDs WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT BACK TO THE HOTEL**
**CARPOOLING IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED**

8AM and 10 AM will have group runs over the Skyway and Bald River Falls for individual photos of cars at the falls. Makes for a great drive, as well as great pics! The Cherohala Skyway, a National Scenic Byway

Then into groups and check out the dragon, Cherohala skyway and hellbender 28 to Fontana Dam!

for the ppl that wasnt at ENM last year or in general. anybody thats going to the dragon I highly recommend grabbing a baofeng UV-5r walkie talkie. these radios will do 5 watts out the box which i was able to talk to ppl 2-3 miles away with this radio where everybody else was cutting at 1/2 mile.

We don't take up much space because we run nut to butt.

 

Better than tip to tip... Although that's how we camp.

Just a thought with more folks picking these up would it be worth creating a separate how-to thread on programming the Boafeng radios? I know I need a refresh on how to program these, it's been 4 years since I looked at purchasing one.

I will work on that this afternoon

 

These are very popular and well reviewed with the off road crowd and there are a number of HAM forums out there with all kinds if good info on getting these setup and programming them.

As mentioned these units are a HAM radio and one is supposed to have the proper license to operate them. That said I have yet to see anyone without a license get busted.

The town cops will leave you alone unless we are acting a fool, which is possible with some of this group. The TN troopers and Sheriffs on the other hand are the ones actually on the Dragon, they are not sympathetic

Welp. Sorry brothers. Due to vehicle complications, I will not be attending this years best party.

She needs some work (validation, tune, and VVT job) before she would be ready to make that journey and beating. I also just bought a house (#excuses). At least the garage is bitchin' she's going to get broken in properly. I'll skype in with some of you sloots and have a few beers while I watch you guys touch each other.
