Maybe you've attended some of the massive Epic Nator meets in the past, maybe you haven't. Maybe you even STILL own a Mazdaspeed! Or maybe you don't. Whatever the case, if you are involved, or are looking to get involved, with the Mazdaspeeds.org and Mazdaspeedforums.org Nator community (and honestly, you should be), then I hope to see you at this meet! We've chosen Speedway Indianapolis as a relatively central location for the USA, with a huge car culture and a ton of awesome activities to explore. We hope you'll join us from September 28-October 1, 2018 for a weekend of motorsports, fraternity, and debauchery!

sidenote- For 2018, Epic Central Nator Meet is being run in conjunction with Midwest Nator Meet . There will not be a separate MWM this year.

EPIC CENTRAL NATOR MEET:
September 28-October 1, 2018
Speedway, Indianapolis, IN

Accommodations: Wingate by Wyndham- Indianapolis (5797 Rockville Rd, Indianapolis, IN, 46224). (317) 296-6297
Call and request your rooms from the "Nator" block the weekend of Sept 29. They run $102/night, both for singles and doubles. They are dog friendly, and say they are used to accommodating large car groups as well (which are likely more disruptive and destructive than dogs, anyway). We'll start a room sharing thread on Mazdaspeeds.org for your room-sharing convenience!

Itinerary:

Friday Night, Sept 28: Beverage drinking and bull$h!tting at the hotel!

Saturday, Sept 29, 1pm-5pm: Karting/Lunch/Charity Raffle/Social/Arcade!
We have a room reserved at Speedway Indoor Karting Facility from 1-5pm where we will have lunch, debauchery, and a charity raffle, with proceeds going to http://www.ldrrescue.org/. This will be the "main event" of the weekend, so don't miss it!
$25 gets you into our private room, with lunch and 1 raffle ticket included. From there, there will be bi-level road course and/or oval course go-kart racing, additional raffle tickets, arcade games, duckpin bowling, and beverages* available for purchase.

Send payments via paypal to jf11687@gmail.com with your name and forum name BY SEPTEMBER 20th to reserve a spot!
You will not be able to attend the group event/raffle if you don't!

If you plan on karting, please get there early to register and secure your races, as they are scheduled out on a first come, first served basis. A $10 racer license is required, plus $20 for 1 race, $37 for 2 races, or $50 for 3 races on the bi-level road track, or $15 for 1, $28 for 2, or $40 for 3 races on the banked oval track. They also offer 1 race on both tracks for $30.

RAFFLE SPONSERS INCLUDE:

Mazdaspeeds.org
Damond Motorsports

And more surprises to come!

Saturday Morning/Evening, Sept 29:
has been left open for exploring and/or socializing. The hotel has grills, gathering areas, a pool, and plenty of restaurants around it. Or explore some of the many offerings of Speedway or Indianapolis! I might suggest looking into the Dellara IndyCar Factory before our event, where, in addition to learning all about the engineering behind the sport, you can drive an indy car on the street!

Sunday, Sept 30, 8am-4pm: Autocross with Indianapolis SCCA
Indianapolis Region SCCA is hosting an autocross event at the State Fairgrounds about 20 minutes from the hotel. Autocross is an affordable and safe way to learn how to control (or test) your car at its limits, and work on your oh-so-important "driver mod." Feel free to post up any questions about car classing or autocross in general. If you're looking for some tips, many of us are experienced autocrossers and would be happy to instruct! $30 for pre-registered, $35 for walk-up registration, PLUS a $15 weekend membership to anyone who is not an SCCA member. Spectating and ride-alongs are free! Bring your Snell 2005 or newer helmet if you have one, There may be some loaners on site, if necessary. https://www.motorsportreg.com/event...-8-indianapolis-state-fairgrounds-scca-419164

WE HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL SOON!!!!!

For those wanting to autocross on 9/30 in Indy, you can pre-register online to save $5 (I see a couple of you already have). If you don't know what class, that's ok - you can ask here or we can just change your class when you get to site.

You CAN register on site, it's just more time consuming and you pay an extra $5.

Quick classing guide (for both MS3 and MS6):
G Street - change dampers and 1 sway bar, 200+ TW tires, stock width wheels.
Street Touring Hatch - coilovers/springs, 200+ TW tires, 9" wide wheels for MS3, 8" wide for MS6.
DSP (MS3)/ESP (MS6) - intercoolers, coilovers, engine mounts, any DOT tire, any wheel
SM/SMF - turbos, engines, any wheel and any DOT tire
SMS - This is SM/SMF if you are running 200+ TW tires (usually a big class, good fun)

SMS!!! In Indy, if you fall into the SM/SMF categories, you can run SMS, assuming you don't run on Sub 200 treadwear tires.

What about trucks? Lol

90% of me wants to "break in" the new engine on the drive out there... but then there's that 10% that's like "boy, you stupid?" lol I really want to go, though.

Anybody know a Daniel Phillips outta Richmond, KY? I was looking at Gen 1 seats on one of the Facebook parts groups and I'm trying to convince him to come to the meet with the seats...

Sweet! Looks like I’ll be coming after all. Engine break in on the way! lol I obviously won’t be in shape to compete in the autocross event, but I can still come spectate and hang out.

Don't know how long your drive is but don't forget to vary your speed!
