Failed Corksport MS6 rear camber arm!

One spot weld on the side would have been bulletproof.....

I sent a first email to Corksport with the first set of pictures, and mentioned the expenses I was having. As I said, they responded that they would be willing to give me another unit out of the goodness of their hearts, but they explicitly state that ancillary costs are not covered.
When I got the failed part in my hand and took the close-ups, I sent a second email to CS where I included the failed "weld" close-ups and demanding full payment. And also a recall of the part, and pay everybody else who has them to get something else. And I mentioned this thread. No response to my second email as yet, and they haven't popped in here either. (The email was sent Thursday morning, so maybe they just haven't got to it, but I suspect they are telling me to FO.)
I get that is typically the case that a vendor won't pay for ancillary costs. And my effort to be reimbursed for my out-of-pocket will be difficult to accomplish. I could try to take them to small claims court, but not sure how much luck I'd have there.
Tell me, if you had a Mazda OEM camber arm come apart with about 12,000 miles on it but a few years old, would you also compare it to a computer part failing? A camber arm shouldn't come apart on a 50 year old car with a million miles on it. To me, I think a more appropriate analogy would be the Ford Pinto exploding fuel tank that Ford had to pay for and it didn't make a damn bit of difference if it was in warranty or not.
And it seems unlikely to me that I got the one and only unit with a bad weld. Maybe they don't all have bad welds, who knows. But I doubt mine is the only one. They need to be recalled.

Ford pintos were less likely to catch fire than comparable cars of the same age.
Looking at those photos again I don't even know that it was welded might have just been the press fit and powder coating holding it together

Look again at the side-view, where I have the parts about 1/8" apart. It looks almost exactly the same as the one that isn't failed. It does look something was done, some waviness. Looks like an attempt at a weld to me. Just not much of one. Though I'm no expert, I'm not a welder.
CorkSport still has not responded to my second email, and it doesn't seem very likely they will. I can call and bitch. I could try small claims court.

Right, but what I’m out is, towing, replacing the rear trailing arm which got damaged, replacing the tire, labor, etc. I’ve never tried calling them, as I know I’m not likely to get anywhere. But I still think CS owes me this.

If you have Corksport, look at my photos. I think the answer will come to you. If you have SPC, they look solid to me.
