[SOLVED] Front passenger noise

I'm new to the forum and wanted to make a quick post about an issue I was having with my first gen MS3. I spend a ton of time researching my issue and couldn't find any information that described what I was experiencing exactly. So here goes: I had a strange metal to metal grinding, vibration type noise coming from the front passenger side. What was odd is that the noise only occurred when I was accelerating. Meaning, regardless of the speed or % throttle, the noise was there if I was accelerating. The moment I take my foot off the accelerator, the noise was gone. Well, considering the noise was only present while accelerating, it was impossible to pinpoint the source (for me anyway). I first decided to replace the passenger drive shaft, which resulted in no change. I couldn't wrap my head around it being the wheel hub bearing since there was never a noise when I was coasting, but I decided to replace the hub and bearing anyway... Believe it or not, the noise is gone.... Completely gone. Maybe this was obvious to some of you, but I always assumed that if you have a bad wheel hub bearing, there would be noise present whenever the car is moving, regardless of accelerating or coasting. Anyway, I'm glad it's fixed and I hope that this helps anyone else experiencing a similar issue.
