Front sway bar bushing

First time on here.

I am working on my 2010 mazda 3i with 140k mil. I am re-doing the front and back suspension.
I removed both the left and right controle arms, and I am taking advantage and installing new sway bar bushings. I started withe the left side. It's installed and torqued down.
Now that I'm on the right side and installing the bushing the bushing will not seat cumpleatly under the retaining bracket. I flipped the bracket to see if it would give me more coverage, but it did nothing. (Was flipping the bracket a mistake???)
Any help would be appreciated!
 
When reinstalling anything, its usually best practice to get all bolts threaded and then tighten them down.

Are you saying that the left side bushing is different than the right side?

Not different. It's just not seating properly. I'm using moog bushings that are tight as hell. I would love any tips on how to work around it.
 
Is the bushing the wrong size. Sway bar bushings either fit or don't there shouldn't be any finessing
