Fuel Leak/Smell Engine Bay

So I'm having a field day with this issue & I'm not really quite sure how to figure this one out. I have looked at the rubber lines leading to the fuel pump & no leaks whatsoever. The odor is very noticeable & worse when you get your face close to the HPFP, could burn your damn eyes with how strong it is. The car is on E85 so the smell of stale peanuts is there. No drips or fuel pooling anywhere over the transmission. I have also checked the HPFP pressure & the readings are coming in normal during startup, idle & under boost. Can't really pin the issue.

Still have to make sure the hardlines aren't fucked to get one thing off my list. Thoughts?

Have you ensured the hardline is intact and screwed on nice and tight?

I'm going to check that tomorrow morning, the rubber lines don't seem to have an issue & I haven't touched anywhere near my HPPF except the beginning of the week when I installed an AP Fuel Pump Cover.

Had a Nator bro with this same issue.

It turns out the hardline flange at the bottom of the HPFP was scorned (from previous owner), and decided to spontaneously begin leaking one day. We replaced the hardline and all is well.

We put some strategically placed paper towels around all the HPFP lines to know for sure where the leak was, and to make sure there were not anymore.

I'll be checking my hardlines this morning to the fuel pump to see if they have any form of damage. The odor is pretty consistent in the fuel pump spot. I'll come back with a report whether if its that line that is damaged.

Update: Found the point of the leak, since yesterday when the car was completely warmed up the leak was not visible as I'm thinking it was vaporizing when it hit the hot engine bay components. I turned the car on this morning & I could see the leak like a sore thumb. Was a hefty spray, so I have a new hardline ordered from Edge.

Remove the skid tray, start the car and let it idle, crawl under the car and check for leaks, if your hard line is nicked somewhere, fuel will start hitting the ground sooner or later...

I actually saw where the fuel was coming from as soon as I turned on the car. The fuel began to spray out from a small nick on the line close to the fuel pump.
