It is in a bit of limbo. Feedback we received on the Gen 2 lip was good but the price was higher than most people expected. Being able to get a part produced in smaller numbers has to make sense. If we are too high of a price no one will buy it which has put the Gen 1 lip in a spot which is tough to move forward on.
This is the issue with appearance mods...everyone wants them for a low price but they expect high quality. Can't have it both ways.
If you want a lip that's designed specifically for our cars, by one of the few companies who actively still supports the platform, you should probably expect to pay a couple of hundred bucks (DGM's fiberglass genjuan lip is $315, just as another point of consideration). If you want cheap, modify an ebay lip to "fit" or use that glorified garden edging shit that you buy by the roll.
As long as the price isn't outrageous, I am in for this. I don't think it was all that outrageous for the Gen2 lip.
I think DG is asking $295 for a urethane front lip on StreetUnit.
Also, yes; if design is such that I don't think I'll immediately destroy it by bumping or scraping, then I'd be down for grabbing one at some point to spice up my front-end.
