Hi, All members
I installed the corksport short shifter yesterday. It took me about 4 hours to do it. Some parts were tough to take out, but eventually, I did it without breaking anything. However, after I put everything back together and tried to test-drive drive. I have noticed that the center console is blocked the shifter goes into the 4th and 6th gears. I have searched online and do not see any solutions.
I do not want to cut my center console tbh. Besides that, I make sure the whole shift housing is sitting in its current position. Maybe I need to adjust something? The side 45 deg blue bracket looks non-adjustable.
I uploaded a video below. Has anyone had the same issues before or know what is going on? Please let me know. I would really appreciate it.

This is the first I've seen that issue but I don't have much experience with it. I installed one with my buddy in his gen1 and no issues. To confirm you have a gen2 ms3 right? There's two different model # for the assembly Axl-6-963-11 is for 2010-11 and Axl-6-963-12 for 12/13 did you buy directly from CS? As you're in the USA I'd suggest giving them a call as they're pretty good on the phone and can probably advise you best

Gen put has two different size shifter boot holes. Corksport makes two different shifters, or you can trim a little bit of plastic from the underside of the console

I see why.. Thank you for this information. My gen2 is 2011, but I bought this short-shifter from the Facebook market. That guy bought it and never install it. I just checked the box and see the part number is Axl-6-963-12. Sounds like trimming the center console is my only option.

Here is one more question. I noticed when I shift into the 1st, 3rd, and 5th gears, it has a shorter distance than the 2nd, 4th, and 5th. I think the whole shift housing is not really in the center. Can I drive like this? Or do I have to buy the right version one to avoid transmission issues later on?
Thank you in advance.

Yep. I think you are right. I bought the wrong part from the FB market. I noticed the whole shift housing is not really in the center. Even if I can shift into every gear, I am wondering is there any potential risk to break the transmission? Because I shift into the 1st, 3rd, and 5th gears, it has a shorter distance than the 2nd, 4th, and 5th.

Thank you in advance. I really appreciate it.

You need to adjust the shifter linkage. As long as it is going fully into gear and staying there it is ok to drive
