Ok, making a separate thread. Will elaborate more, but looking at making a bracket that was cad designed by our @Maisonvi for @Redline.

This is a setup that fixes the current option being sold that is flimsy and does not really work at all.

I'm in for the 10th pair too to make this happen. Let's get this party started! (After Ken gets a new quote - being past 30 days, now...)

So I'll have two pairs, and just sell one... and everyone will likely still have a much better price becuz 10 total pairs :D

I'm going to work with them to have the latch pins and latches available on the discounted web page we have had made. Then I'll be shipping the bracket and the stainless hardware for the latch pin to connect to the bracket. Will be able to order the headlight area latches and pins, as well as the fenderwell if needed.

I'll open for payment on Monday, and I'll open it for 30 days for people to get on board. Share on groups in FB, etc so people know it's about to happen.

Well DUH, no worries man, this is what we needed. And so once we confirm everything is good price wise, I'll collect $. I'll open it for 30 days for more people. I'm going to put all profits into ordering extra sets for those in needed after the buy, and then with everything, it's going back into the forum.

Thanks to all who signed up so far, and spread the word, this is gonna happen.

I say that to say this: @Raider asked me to write a How-To once I get the new brackets in hand. What I'll likely do is incorporate elements of the thread linked above because I already have some How-To in there, but I'll do it in a brand-new thread. I'll encourage the participation of others, particularly regarding where/why they choose to mount their latches (these brackets afford a LOT of adjustability).

I figure if it's approached sort-of as a group, "open-source" effort, the outcome will be better for everyone involved. My rationale is that since my bumper holes are already drilled, I'm limited - I cannot use new mounting positions for the latches. Others can, however.

When I'm finally not lazy and its a little warmer I'll take pics of me starting my car on fire when I screw it up. My how to will be destroying the terrible job I did. It if it turns out well though I can add to the how to. Theres definitely dildospeed pics either way.
