Here is the how to which will get everyone set up. Thank you so much, @CMajor and @Sho. https://mazdaspeeds.org/index.php?threads/raiderfab-gen-pu-installation-guide.4661/

Ok, making a separate thread. Will elaborate more, but looking at making a bracket that was cad designed by our @Maisonvi for @Redline.

This is a setup that fixes the current option being sold that is flimsy and does not really work at all.

****IF YOU BOUGHT THE RAIDERFAB FENDERWELL FIX, THIS WILL WORK FOR YOU AS WELL! OUR KIT WILL USE THE LOWER BUMPER BRACKET BOLT LOCATION TO HOLD THE BRACKET AND LATCH!****

Also, someone installed these brackets without any spacers or stacked washers. Not sure how but he's happy.

The only thing I can suppose is differences in Genpu model years. There's no way the brackets would work on my car without at least 8mm shimming on both mounting points as you can see with the minor interference on the top reinforcement bar in my How-To, even with lots of shimming. Was this Speed also a 2010?

Regardless, super excited the solution worked well for him! Were both of his standoffs on his brackets the longest length of all the CAD designs?

He's showing the car in a week, so for me, I'm glad it works and will spread word about them.

Looks like a WIN! Thanks again, @Raider and @Maisonvi for coordinating this with me/green-lighting it. You guys did an awesome thing for a very annoying thing about our platform.

Oh, and by the way, I've been zipping all over town, driving hard, twisting and torquing things with hard cornering, washing the car, etc., and the bumper is STILL exactly where I put it :D
[doublepost=1489885864][/doublepost]As you get older in life, you realize such a simple thing as your bumper not popping out from behind your headlight (or anywhere else, for that matter) is such a nice thing, LOL.

Oh it's not my thing either. But the latches are. [emoji12] I'm eager to see people POST pics when done.

His car is a 2010 if that helps.

Weird. Well, maybe mine was an early run and his was a later run or vice versa. Or maybe all the torquing on the original brackets I did down there affected my fitment. Regardless, those spacers will be awesome for room to work and ease of adjustment. Better to have them and not need them then the other way around, you know? My car definitely needed the shimming...

When you install em, take and post pics. Note if spacers are needed and also note if you have any tips for others, ok?
