Ground Control Install Help

How does this piece mount in the rear? The directions do not make since. To me it would be the sub frame bolt and washer, however that does not fit through it.
Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, they should bolt on with the sub frame bolt in the center of the stock spring location.

Not to sound condescending or anything, but are you sure you didn't mix up the front and rear adjustable perches?

@VTMongoose has this kit, he can walk you through it.

This piece mounts to the rear subframe (not the LCA). The bolt should have a captive washer. This washer will need to be sanded down if it is rusted, otherwise it will not for inside the GC adjuster...yes, the tolerances are that tight.

That is what I thought. Ground Control sent the fronts already assembled. So no chance to mix them up.

Yep definitely tried the bolt and it did not fit through the perch.

To confirm, this is the bolt correct?

Correct

Hmm well maybe they sent me the wrong perches for the rears. That bolt was absolutely not fitting/screwing through the perch.

Edit: Thank you for the confirmation.

Hope you get it sorted soon. Welcome to the club. I'm loving my new GC kit. I got 375/430, and it's a great spring rate balance for mostly DD/performance occasionally. I actually did a Poker Run today and was hitting some high speeds, lane transitions, passing slower tuned cars, etc. The new setup feel much more planted and responsive at high speed (coming from Swift springs). Definitely enjoying it a lot.

They had a batch of kits where the hole was not made large enough. I drilled mine out to fit the bolt and the problem was solved.

crapatalk, yes it sucks for free.

Just adding extra info and confirming the above also.
Drilled it out to fit the bolt and everything was good to go.

Did they include spring cups? I was part of the original group buy when these were developed. One of the issues we found was the short linear springs in the rear would become unseated when the both rear tires were off the ground. This could cause the spring to reseat incorrectly or not at all once load was restored. One dude actually lost a spring while driving, this prompted GC to start include spring cups with all orders. I'm curious if you got those. Look like this:

I'm glad you brought this up. I had wondered about that when I noticed I didn't get any, so they did not include them for me.
Tho I have not had any issues with this yet.
I will enquire and see if they were supposed to tho, I wouldn't want that happening to me.

My only thing is I wish they included adapters and keeper springs for the front under full droop. The cones in the back keep the rears from unseating. Too bad Eibach ERS springs don't had the standard keeper portion of the spring integrated, like you find on most aftermarket offerings. Apples and oranges, I suppose. They are a racing product line, after all.

I just finished installing these and had the same issue. I used a grinding wheel to shave off some of the exterior of the washer and then everything feel into place.
My issues were the bump stops (had to cut down the stick units) and the gap with the lower shock mount. With home brewed fixes, all is good now
