New to the Mazdaspeed3 but like the title say just wondering if a gtx3076r turbo would be a good choice for a stock block( pistons and rods) motor? Thinking I might build the motor later but don’t want to have to buy another turbo. Thanks in advance for the helpful info

That's a big turbo for the stock bottom end. Unless your building the motor soon, you're just asking for trouble going that big.

That’s a lot of turbo for stock block, but it’s been done before. As long as you have the necessary upgrades to support it and realistic expectations of where you *should* be at power-wise it should be fine. But get a proper tune or you absolutely will be building that engine sooner rather than later.

Yea I was thinking of building a motor end of this year begin of next. I appreciate the info I’ve been trying to see if it would work out but looks like I might just be waiting til I build the motor lol

Should be ok a good tuner freek or pd tuning will be able to tune it for reliable power
