Hey Guys,

Being from south eastern NC where it gets as humid as FL on a bad day. I'm sitting in standstill traffic yesterday looking at my BAT's on my AP climb to 150 or so, i thought to myself... hmm how will this effect my car. Other than the BAT's the coolant and everything is operating normal. BAT's went back down to about 119 after I was moving at about 65.

Google offered little help

I guess my questions are -
I understand heatsoak is inevitable, is it a cause for concern?

How will it effect the way the engine/turbo act?

Should I adjust my driving in any way on a hotter/more humid than normal day?

Thanks

Sitting in stand still accident traffic down here in FL caused my bats to reach 180+.

- I personally don't think heatsoak is an issue unless you're looking to make power.

- If your BATs get high enough I believe the ECU will start pulling timing or switch to some compensation table. I could be wrong.

- Get meth, drive faster. Intercoolers don't work without any boost going through them.

Thanks @neganox for the explanation. Makes sense to me for sure.
Heat Soak = Less Power

To combat it ( if I need to)
- Meth
- upgraded intercooler

When driving in high heat, to help prolong the life of the turbo keep the car running for a little bit before you shut it off for the turbo to cool down.
