[SOLVED] Help with diagnosing a fuel pressure issue

Hi all,

I have a 06 Speed 6. Looking to add bolt on mods so first step is the HPFP. Couple of weeks ago I added some autotech internals and rebuilt the HPFP with the corksport rebuild kit. The results of this have been underwhelming to say the least, fuel pressure readings seem to be lower at high rpm / load then they were with the stockers. (peaking at 1300psi, dropping down to 1000 psi under load).

I assumed that I stuffed up the install of the internals so pulled the HPFP last weekend to check the internals, they seemed fine, no marks or scoring on them, cleaned and re-lubed them anyway but didn't fix the problem. During the rebuild i had a lot of trouble with getting the spill valve apart, wondering if this is seizing and causing this problem.

Any suggestions on how to proceed and diagnose what is causing this? Should i just replace the spill valve and go from there?

Thanks

I had a buddy of mine have this same issue and it ended up being a bad valve, I swapped out his valve for mine and it solved his pressure issues. I went to a local junk yard pulled out a valve form a cx7and I now suffer the same issue except mine won’t inject fuel into the real

Thanks, i wound up replacing the whole hpfp housing and spill valve with a used one and swapped my autotech internals over. Solved my problem.
