Hit a deer, totaled

So a deer decided to jump into my windshield. It's totaled since the cost to repair was about the same as the value of the car. The windshield caved in on the driver side, the roof buckled in, left mirror ripped off and left rear door dented.

Anyone have any ideas what I should do with the car? Other than that damage, everything else was fine mechanically. Cosmetically not the greatest tho. Would someone want to buy it in this condition? It would be around 3000 to fix the windshield, roof, side mirror.

Sucks, I just finished a GTX2867R e25 stock injector Freektune on it. Maybe I can transplant all the engine/trans into a shell but haven't found one. Or I can part out if someone wants to buy the whole engine. Engine was mint, stock block JDM CX-7.

The junk car buyers offered ~800 if I left the engine and everything in tact.

Open to ideas.

3000 would be cheaper but the car needs a whole paint job also. And it has a lot of dents. I'm not sure if my insurance company would reinsure me if I did that. They let me keep the clean title. I read if you have a rebuilt title you can only get liability and the rate could be higher.

I'd rather get a new car tbh. I'm looking at the 2025 Mazda 3 with Skyactiv G. I heard those are very reliable engines and the trans is good also. Standard 6 speed and not the trash CVTs like everyone else. Anyone know about those? The turbo ones seem to be a lot less reliable.

I won't be able to do another swap. I'm going to have to part it out and sell the shell to a junker company. Cash for clunkers. Unless if anyone knows if someone wants this shell!

Find a sedan and swap all your stuff over. Plenty can be found for less than 3k. Or if you want something newer, you can grab a BMW M6 like I did for between 20-25k. Even 550i models or 650i models can be had for less than 20k.

I would keep it and fix it.. 3 grand won't get you too much now adays..

but it sounds like you kind of made up your mind already and want something else..

Try posting it for sale on here.. you never know..
