Ok, I can answer myself my own question now.
For the forum records, we can do almost anything with FORscan including VIN clone, etc.
My case was that my ECU has gone Joe Biden and that resulted in a loss of power from 350whp to about 200 whp after the car was in service for something else. I could only guess the stupid mechanic removed the ECU without disconnecting the battery and that effed up the injector drivers. Found some elco shorted too, anyway. I purchased the new ECU and all was simple. (I will repair the old one to have it as a spare part)
Procedure to replace the ECU
1. uninstal lthe COBB APP. Then run FORScan - with the original ECU SAVE the PCM data: such asVIN, tyres and Body type (MAZDA EU or Norht MAerica, etc). You may also goto
https://www.motorcraftservice.com/AsBuilt and download the complete AsBuilt settings for your vehicle (VIN required) in an AB file. This is also useful if you replace the Body Control Unit with a virgin one, you have it all in one file.
2. With the new ECU, in FORscan just upload the data saved on step one into PCM IC and write it. Cycle the keys and verify that VIN and all settigns are correctly recorded.
3. My vehicle has the fancy EURO SKE system. I didn't have to reprogram anything so not Erase or ro anything! No keys , not nothing. Just select SKE PATS and MODULE INITIALIZATION. This will pair the PCM with BCU, will generate the incode autmatically and it takes no more than 30 seconds.
That was all, I re-installed the COBB AP, flashed my Freektune map and went for a ride.
