Hurricane Matthew Nator Assistance

20 miles is the difference. If it was just 20 miles closer, even more devastation. Massive flooding at the beaches near me. Gotta check yards in the light but lots of branches down. Now the Carolinas are being hit.

Rain started at about 1am last night here. As of right now we are getting the outer bands in Wilmington. Some gusts but nothing too crazy yet. Power went out for about 5 minutes around 7 am but that been about it for right now.

Forecasted for 10+ inches of rain this weekend. Flooding is going to be the issue here.

Does NATOR assistance do day care?

Can you fit a kid in a flat rate box? If so ship them to Colorado, we can take care of the kids. They might have some more vocabulary when they come back though.

crapatalk, yes it sucks for free.

We had a bunch of downed branches and the radio in the bathroom got fried. Everything else was good.

@monkey.bones.007 lol

Mid day update. Ran out of 2x4s so I improvised with a cornhole board to complete my make shift wind brace for my fence that was beginning to lean.

It's just been rain, some gusts so far. I think the worst is supposed to start this evening. Nowhere near what you guys saw in FL. IMG_20161008_132031.jpg

Thought I posted. This was on the ground. The hurricane picked it up 20 feet and it stuck into the vines. It's just hanging there.

Did everyone make it ok? I know NC got surprise hit.

We made out with no problems, only lost power for like 5 minutes.

Inland seems to have gotten hit harder than us - the flooding is the issue there. Any peeps from Fayetteville NC? That's about the area that got it the worst, about 1-2 hours from the coast inland.
