Going to be installing CS seals this weekend. When cleaning the injectors with green scothbrite pad would it be ok to use non-chlorine brake cleaner as well? any tips for install would be awesome!

Old post but still relative, I used B12 cemtool and soaked mine over night. +1 on the studs definitely makes life easier when time to pull them back out.

I recently did the cs seals. The 18ft lbs had all my seals leaking. I tq them to about 35 ft lbs and no more leaking. Just something to keep in mind.

You should report this to Corksport so they can update their installation instructions accordingly.

I did call them and talk with them. They told me they have not had that issue with anyone else. I know i did everything right so i am not to sure why my case was different. Maybe my tq wrench is off? Either way it all looks good now so i am happy.

How did you know they were "all" leaking? I didn't replace studs it wasn't that bad. U torqued mine to CS specs

You'll see a characteristic discoloration due to seepage out from the bottom portion of the injector bosses and down the side of the head. I wish I had a photo handy, but I'm sure someone can post one up that makes it very clear. A leakdown test can help identify injector seal leakage too because you'll hear air escaping around the injectors.

u could see oily shit under the injector leaking down the head.
BTW, where'd you get the seal studs package? PTP? I heard that @JBR had some stud packages for a while. They were planning on releasing injector seals of their own, but maybe they decided not to? Hadn't heard anything about it for a long time now.

CPE makes a stud kit, RPM should have them in stock

I dont see a need for a stud kit. I had no issue removing or re tqing. It just in my case either they needed more tq or my wrench was off at the lower end.

Oh, I also forgot to mention that as seals get worse, you can start seeing knock in your logs. You can test if it's likely seals by throwing a little ethanol or methanol in the tank. If it doesn't help, you may have a seal issue.

And if you let it go too long though rare will mess up the injector boss

Anyone have part numbers for the top injector o-rings? Would make sense to replace them at the same time. Also, are stock injector seals crazy expensive or just not available? see CPE and CS seals, with Edgeauto selling a puller and seals for $200... is that the best deal available? looks like it includes studs, washers and those aluminum hats
