Intelligent Diagnostics Scan Tool

I know many will say snap-on right away but are there any other options out there can diagnose extremely well especially like sensors, polarity, shorts etc?

have you looked at forscan ? from what I've gathered it may be the cheap option for Mazda, I have not checked it out myself. they do have their own forum as well

I just sampled the LAUNCH X431 PROS V there's a lot going on with this device. THe 2010-2013 Mazdaspeeds etc don't really have much on there but the graphs are great and live feed for data that is not working doing. They have nothing for sensors, polarity, shorts etc

I am looking for a multi vehicle scanner platform that will give me the ability to do more than the units from Amazon or Auto centre stores. I need more than a code reader that can reset an oil change light. Live data/logging, bi-directional, run system tests, CAN, P/C/U & B codes. I will undoubtedly learn or increase my knowledge by playing with it too. Being windows based makes it easy. In the end I will only be paying for the cars I need. Most of the people I will be helping are willing to fund the costs for their specific manufacturer if they require.
AutoEnginuity is a bit spendy, but I hope that by purchasing this I wont end up with a paper weight in a couple years.

Forscan is also on my list, I will probably pickup a cable shortly. Forscan will only really be for the Speed6.

keep in mind forscan for phones is lite and functions similar too torque pro. need it on a Windows machine for full functionality

I've seen guys reprogram ECUs and keys with forscan on Mazda, it's toated to work with newer ABS modules to do ABS bleeding heck apparently you can even set your convience functions like auto lock and how many blinks you get when you tap the indicator.

digging around the forscan forum there are folks using it on Mazda

For me the key program is the end advantage.

The forum is excellent for FoST and RS guys, mustangs and F150. The "other" cars require a bit of searching. I think we are lucky Mazda and Ford were bedfellows for a while. It amazes me how Mazda (and Ford) make cars that are so easy to manipulate, most other brands you need a scanner or alternate interface to do anything.

Also as a side note, I bypassed on the Autel by principle due to the fact that they settled a $33mil lawsuit this year for intellectual theft vs SnapOn and Mitchell.

Purchased the LAUNCH X431 PROS V+ 5.0 Elite Bidirectional Scan Tool. I am definitely not happy with what it can for my 2010 3 2.5 and 2012 Speed. I am returning and downloading the FORScan tomorrow and just purchased the OBDLink MX+. Let's see how things go.

OBDLink MX+ didn't work so I am using the OBDLink EX. Attached is the data details. Doesn't assist with issue. I resorted to a voltmeter and at the throttle body harness.

Maybe I am overthinking this but does this mean I have short or open wire or wires?
