ITFP Upgrade

What's up guys, so I am considering upgrading my itfp in the somewhat near future and want advice from anyone who has done this with a ms6. I am wondering if the process is the same or different from an ms3 and if so if it can be explained a bit.

The way I understand it is that the easiest way to do an itpf upgrade is cut a hole out where the pump is and pull it out and give it the ol' switcharoo. Then just put a piece of sheet metal or whatever over the hold and seal it up so no smells come into the cabin from it. Is this all it requires? Thanks and any detailed comments are appreciated and most liked lol

I personally would just drop the tank over cutting up the car but I also haven't dropped the tank on a speed.
I am told that it doesn't have to be cut or dropped so that should make it easier. Just need to look for a decent price on one and get the money together. Going to replace the filter sock as well

So is there more than one option that fits without modding the basket? Also, is there a reason not to drill holes in the top of the basket to help it not run dry? I seem someone else on here do it to help from running the basket dry

@StreetSpeed6 did you figure it out? I am looking for the info as well for someone asking me.
So far all I know is that the AEM340 pump mentioned and a Walboro 255 gss342 fit but am looking for more just for the sake of knowledge at this point. Would be nice to have this info in one place instead of scattered all around the forum in the middle of a thread unrelated to itfp necessarily. Sorry for the late answer!

From what I’ve heard, the hole on the MS6 isn’t as small as a 3, so you may not have to cut but there’s a chance you may have to bend a little bit out of the way.
Besides that, putting it into the basket is the same procedure as a 3.

Do you know what pumps we have as an option other than the 2 listed above? Well... that are reliable options anyway lol I know the DW pumps seem to be hit and miss.

No need to cut our ITFP hole is bigger just need to bend it a little to get the pump lock ring tool in there correctly, here is a video on it from Abdul.

Also from my research on this subject...

The AEM install is going to be THE MOST straight forward, literal drop in, plug and play wiring,

The AEM is the simplest route, if you're not looking to modify the stock fuel system at all, other than swapping the pump itself out.
