Knock under light load

So I have been having this problem with a very light knocking noise under light load at around 2500-3000 rpm’s and it only occurs in 3rd-6th gear, I have ruled out most things like rod knock, timing chain, and drive train noises. KR sits at a constant 0 when it is happening, the noise sounds like it is coming from the right side of the engine bay, the noise instantly disappears at WOT. any insight or ideas would be greatly appreciated, at this point I’m grasping at straws

Assuming right side means you're inside the car so passenger side? Have you checked your belt/tensioner, axles, and everything in that area to make sure nothing is moving around?

I have, but it’s hard to say anything since it only happens when I’m driving, I recently replaced the left CV axle because it had a bit of play but there was no change.

A bit of a long shot, since you said that your noise only happened from 3rd to 6th and disappeared at WOT, but I’ll leave this here in case it helps.

A friend of mine had a first gen speed3 with a knocking sound coming from the right side of his engine bay and it turned out to be the aftermarket corksport aluminum coolant reservoir rattling around.

Moral of the story is make sure your coolant, power steering, and other reservoirs are properly attached.

Try wiggling them lightly with your hand to see if any are loose, and tighten if need be. The damond mounts will shake anything loose around which can cause a rattle…
