Any idea what you doing for your piping? I will most likely utilize the TMIC for now.

Yes sir. Going to be fabbed. Already at the fab shop now waiting on it. I'll be using a treadstone vertical flow. I'm sure I could get another cold side made but it'll utilize a vertical flow IC with end tanks so both outlet and inlet are drivers side. I'll know for sure once I get that far into the design/decision process.

Awesome, can't wait to see it! A least you have a plan, I am definitely going to be winging it. Baby stepping to fasts

Work has completely taken over my life. These past two weeks I have clocked over 160 hours at work. I am finally over the hump and things are finally starting to slow down.

Since then, VersaTuner has arrived, and so has my stock gen 2 suspension and my box of random nuts and bolts from a parted out gen 1. Picked up my oil, filters, and some more brake fluid. I was able to get 2 of my ugly gen 1 wheels mounted with sentry brand shit tires.

Anyone have one a picture of their engine bay, so I can see how the wire harness and spaghetti of hoses are supposed to go? I'm sure I could figure it out, but using a picture for reference would most likely be less of a headache.

Hey what up, so are you planning on running stock gen pu suspension? Are there lowering springs currently on the car? If yes, what are they and are you planning on getting rid of them?

Took over @AYOUSTIN'S deposit for the 16w intake manifold. I'm glad I'll finally have something shinny under the hood.

Yes, I believe they are called H&R Race Springs.
You can come get them, but you have to pull them off the car first.
I am going to running Stock gen2 suspension for the time being, I do not know what the future will be with this car yet. My life has been a roller these past few years.

The drop on these springs is not too bad, maybe a inch or so. I do not know much about them to be honest.

So, I finally sourced some closed lug nuts that look close to OEM but deep enough to be able to utilize the stock wheels on ARP extended studs without spacers. These set me back $1.6 a piece. Not too bad especially since they are H-D. As you can see, They are completely flush with the wheel/tire. Win.

Funny story.

About a year ago, I modified a propane torch to be used as a vacuum leak finder for the turd. I was able to hook a hose to it and then probe around the carburetor waiting for the engine idle to change. Worked like a charm.
Anyway, I was fixing some wires on the harness and said, "hey I should use the torch because these lighters are not cutting it" (heat shrink). Without thinking about the modifications I made to it (it looks normal without the hose) I turned the Valve on and lit it up. The damn thing turned into a gigantic fireball. Burnt my hands and arms as I dropped it on the floor in my garage.

I started to think that this could end badly if I just left it there, so I picked the flaming tank up and turned off the Valve. Problem averted. Only problem now is my hands are burnt and my arm hair smells of burnt hair. Yuck.

I just pictured you in an American Dad voice swearing about the fireball burning your arms and hands and that really made me laugh. Aquafor does wonders keeping skin moist and helps heal.

crapatalk it sucks for free

Sounds awful to actually go through, but funny as hell to picture it as Stan from American dad lol

Ha! No no. I did not burn my hands too bad. Just mainly burn the hair off my hands and arms. I forgot how bad burning hair smells.

So, who is ready for the problem of the day? Well, I am so here it goes.

Once I put my lug nuts and wheel on I noticed that the wheel was hitting the brake caliper on the driver's side. I did not test fit the passenger side.
Is this because of the Stop tech rotors that are on the car not mixing with the CS BBK? Everything seems to be installed correctly.
It's almost like I need a 1mm spacer for the gen 1 wheel to clear.

Sorry I did not take better pictures.

the rotors wouldnt impact the location of the caliper. do the gen 1 wheels actually clear the corksport kit?

But if the rotors are just a little bit thinner material then the stock, could that be just enough to allow it to touch. I mean I can turn the wheel if I force it, but it's def hitting.
